Good points made throughout this post. My opinion: sleep, although enjoyable when you are doing it or awaking from it is the biggest waste of time we have to endure. I for one would like to use the extra time afforded to me by not having to sleep in doing something constructive, though at the moment I am not sure what that would be. All I do know is sleep robs you of your time on Earth that could be better spent elsewhere (I am not religious, another waste of time in my opinion, at least we don't kill each other when we sleep, NO OFFENCE). Note that this drug allows you to sleep IF YOU WANT rather than YOU MUST. A great advantage in my mind

I have problems sleeping, but that just makes it even better when I finally can drift off.
Besides, if everyone started taking it lots of negative economic effects would be felt. The value of labour would fall, because no one tires and they can work 24/7 in theory. I hate work enough as it is (hence why I am dodging it for 3 more years with a stay at university) and being expected to work for even longer would be incredibly depressing.
As it happens, I'm starting to get dozy as it is now, hence the lack of quality in this post. I have to tell you, after trying to wear myself out so I can sleep for the past 7 hours, its a wonderful feeling.

Eh you lazy students! You want to try getting up two hours before you go to bed! lol Was a student once meself and agree sleeping is great then, especially after a night of 'studying'!
considering im an insomniac this would be perfect, i could do all the stuff i normally do, and not be tired.
I would definitely take it, as long as there were no side-effects. I mean, holy crap, man! I could game, read, write, chat, post, and talk all I wanted! And I'd never have to worry about whether people were awake when calling them at night. It would also eliminate a convenience for people hoping to sell drugs, rob houses, and other such nocturnal crimes if everyone took the drug.
EDIT: This assuming I was able to lobby for everyone to acquire and take this miraculous medicine.

I guess you could. But you wouldn't need it. I don't know all of the logistics of the drug.Hookman said:
I would take it, but the only problem would be if you got super bored w/ nothing left to do. I sleep when I have nothing left to do, so can you sleep at all (just eliminates the need to sleep) or does the pill eliminate sleep itself?
From what I understand it eliminates the need. I guess you could still sleep you just don't need to and I don't think you feel tired.joystickjunki3 said:
