Poll: Now that the price drop/slim is official, do you want a PS3?

Already got a PS3, so unless this one dies or something happens to it, no.

Plus I love my PS3. Its like what Yahtzee said, "A big dog, a little slow at times but always bringing in your slippers every morning."

I've grown quite attached to it. It's yet to disappoint me.

Same here for me. I just love it. Especially since my second 360 broke in 2 months. Damn you microsoft.

That would be the "No, I hate Sony because of..." option.

Also I am planning on buying it now. I was always a little bit hesitant because of the price and, for me, the small exclusives library that I would be interested in, but now that the price is dropping and I want a BluRay player anyway, I'm going to jump at this.

I would say that's probably the way to go because most of the people I know who refuse to buy a ps3 without full BC, are really pissed because of the issue. One friend of mine will really fly off the handle if you mention it but we still have fun playing on his old ps2 fat. So he might just stick with the wii this gen. I almost did.

If there was another field, the BC issue would've made the list before "I just don't want one."

Pony has 4ish (I think Ratchet and clank has gone episodic) worthwhile exclusives: InFamous, LBP, Valkyria chronicles and whatever ratchet and clank games are floating around.

Even though my xbox recently kicked the bucket, I'm really not that interested in getting a PS3. Neither my now dead xbox nor the PS3 really seem to have games that are that interesting to me. Especially now that my computer isn't crap. Also, the lack of backwords compatibility does seal the deal. I have a ps2 and a moderate amount of games for it, but I really do love those games. Oh well, maybe sometime in the future I'll feel compelled to get one.

I put maybe - I'd almost completely decided on an Xbox 360 despite what I'd heard about the reliability fail. Now I'm not so sure. I have lingering Sony loyalty, for no particular reason.

Although of course both are actually out of the question in practice because I just can't afford to spend the money - or the time. I can easily waste all my time on internet flash games, I just can't afford to buy £250-worth of kit that'll eat even more hours out of my day.

I think sacrificing the BC for price sunk was worth it.

If they would bring back the BC they might have acually been forced to increase the price, due to increased development costs.

i have a ps3 fat and will get ps3 slim about the time xbox360 slim out and before the ps4 rumors start , as for the price drop for ps3 ... bout fucking time , now to wait for xbox360 elite price drop to replace my xbox360 pro

I'm gonna get one. $299 isn't bad at all. But i'll be getting it for just a few games, since alot of games seem to run better on the 360.
