Since Oblivion is for PS3, I wouldn't recommend it. If you got it for PC, there are tons of cool mods you can get, all from changed gravity, new animations, to new weapons or creatures...

Anyways, I voted for Prototype, since it is THE best spiderman-esque game out there. I don't care what Yahtzee says, Prototype is better =P!

1. Fallout 3 - Tons of content, awesome game, great investment.

2. Prototype/inFamous - If you get one, no need to get the other.

3. Oblivion - Seriously, there are many better options...

So far im thinking Fallout 3...

How linear is progression in it? and how much choice do we have on how we play?

Oblivion is the longest game, but Fallout 3 is the most amount of fun for the money. And there is nothing linear about FO3 unless you want it to be. The entire world is your domain right from the start. Use and/ or abuse it as you like.

- You can kill almost everyone in the game, and there are generally multiple ways to do any quest.
- There's only one ending, practically, even if your karma is as low as possible.
- It's possible to skip a huge portion (over half) of the main quest by going to the right place right at the start of the game, though it is highly unlikely that you will do so by accident.
- Huge sandbox. You can go anywhere you like right at the start, but you might run into some nasty things.
- You can't continue after the end of the main quest, unlike Oblivion, unless you buy Broken Steel. I would recommend not finishing the main quest.
- If you aren't worried about karma, you can pretty much just go into Sneak mode and steal everything that isn't nailed down.
- If you kill a shopkeeper, you can take everything that the shop was carrying if the person was carrying the key to the shop's inventory.

InFamous according to Yahtzee [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/op-ed/6228-Yahtzee-s-Prototype-vs-InFamous-Challenge]. But since that's based entirely on which company sent him he most disturbing pictures, go with my second choice which is Oblvion.

I think Oblivion has the most replayability to tide you over x amount of time, since it is a sandbox game with an enormous gameworld and people have complained that the Fallout 3's main quest is too short. Oblivion also has better mods than Fallout 3. Also the eye-candy is nicer unless you happen to like walking through a gigantic rubbish dump.

Fallout 3, while they are all excellent games, if you can only get one, this one will give you the most play time and value.
