Cannabis is only a drug on technical terms.
Drug-A chemical substance, such as a narcotic or hallucinogen, that affects the central nervous system, causing changes in behavior and often addiction.
Cannabis is a plant, just a tobacco is. The only real harm that comes from marijuana is the same you would get from inhaling any carcinogen. If anyone tells you they are addicted to weed they are weak-minded. Marijuana does not cause physically dependency. Anyone can become addicted to anything mentally. If you are a weak enough person you can be addicted to anything like hot dogs, dandelions, or even Marijuana. An actual addiction is based on the harmful withdraws that take place when the chemical isn't being supplied to your body. Marijuana relives stress and can help mood problems. Also, people who suffer Chemo therapy get relief from their symptoms while under the influence marijuana.
So the answer to the initial thread is NO. I do not smoke weed. I'd love to it was a great part of my life that made things simpler and it helped control my panic attacks, but marijuana isn't for adults. Jobs and passing drug tests are much more important than getting stoned with your buds. If it is legalized then I would be happy to participate, but for right now I cannot participate, but I honestly wish that I could because really If the whole world smoked pot there would be no wars.
