Are you an optimist or a pessimist. I am most definitely an optimist. My life philosophy is "shit works itself out". I'm a pretty happy person as well. Certainly not a downer. So how about everyone else?

Also prediction, the internet is filled with primarily pessimists.

I tend to be an optimist. I like to believe people are basically good, and that things will ultimately work out. And if I do something stupid that leads to bad results, I take my lumps.

I'd certainly have to classify myself as a pessimist if I was to chose between only these two labels. I guess it just goes with my personality and my dry, cynical sense of humor.

I'm a little bit of both. Mostly optimism, but I can be pessimistic without even knowing it.

As I said before

"When the shit is about to hit the fan, it turns the opposite direction and hits the stressful stuff. After destroying the negatives, it apologizes and melts in a cold cup of Sprite"

I'm an optimist and it works!

Realist.

When my life is good I take a pessimistic stance.

When my life is terrible I take an optimistic stance.

I'm an optimistic pessimist...or a pessimistic optimist...I don't know what I'm supposed to vote for.

My one rule in life: - Always assume the worst...

That way: If things go well, you're pleasantly surprised.
If they go badly, your not disapointed.

For example... i assumed Iron Man 2 would be shit on account of it being a sequel...

I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't shit :)

Scientist. The glass is at 50% of its maximum capacity and shit happens, good or bad. I try to evaluate based on objective data and not anticipate much other than I can logically argue.

That said, my mood does ofcourse influence me occasionally. And lack of coffee. Lack of coffee makes me a cynical, pessimistic a-hole.

I see no point in being anything but an optimist. If there's something wrong with your life then fix it, don't just sit there whining about it. :3
