Poll: Orange Box

I gave it a 2/5 by accident, I meant to give it a 1/5. To be quite honest, I found that Portal was the only worthwhile game in the whole thing. While Half-life 2 was fun for the first few levels, once I got to Ravenholm, the whole thing caved in on itself. It simply stopped being fun, and I never wanted to play it again. And I'm not even gonna bother with the other Episodes. As for Team Fortress 2, as much as I wanted to like that game, I simply couldn't. I've played dozens of matches, and never once did I find myself enjoying it. And I think the problem simply is that I don't like team-based games in general. I prefer run 'n' guns, like Halo or Unreal Tournament, where everyone starts out on even footing and you simply go around and pick up weapons. Oh well, I'm still sort of glad I got it, since Portal was an amazing game, but I still kind of wish I had just gotten Portal seperately instead of getting it alongside a bunch of games I will never play.

TF2 is my fav of the orangebox games, portal is my second fav, then HL2. all great games. portal has 2 hours of gameplay? phhhht! i can beat it in just under an hour. and in TF2 i have 341 hours as engie, and 120 hours as sniper. those are my most played classes. HL2 i take a long time to play because i like playing with the physics engine.

Portal on it's own makes the Orange Box a 5/5.

The other two games are just the icing on the lie that is the cake.

This review is...short and undescriptive. But heres pretty much my critism.

Many of you will agree that Orange Box is a must have game. It has 5 games including Half Life 2, Half Life 2 Episode 1, Half Life 2 Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2.

Make the intro a bit longer.
Most of these games taake about 4 to 5 hours to finish, but Team Fortress 2 for the online people, racks up a good 60 + Hours Easily.

Now, TF2 is a game where you have 9 classes, and teams for 4v4, to 16v16. Now, with that, there comes an achievement system. The one thing about it, is like most rants to get achievements, it takes forever to get an achievement. Example, Some can be easy, such as OMGWTFBBQ, which is killing enemies with a taunt as pyro. Some, can be as hard as, play 1 round without firing a shot, and finish the game on the top of the leader board. Very fun game.

Waaaaait, where is the game play? Sound? Graphics? ANYTHING?!

Now, The Half life Series. Racks up a good 4 hours per game. very good storyline, and epic weapons that will not only blow your mind, It will blow the mind off of anything in your way. Weapons such as Crowbars, shotguns, and Grenades will make this game series make everybody love puzzles and Violence.

....Mention of some of the story line? Further in-depth weapon mentioning? Game play? Graphics? Sound? Anything?

Portal, the 5th and last game on the orange box. Racks of 2 hours, and has great re-playability with advanced levels making you pull your hair out. Now, It follows Chell making her way through puzzles with the Portal gun, or ASPHD, if you want. Now, the huge plot twist is, most people go insane through the test, and GLaDOS, the main antagonist, betrays you and ends with an epic showdown of poison, a fire pit, and a very big explosion, followed by a fall.

Once again, no mention of game play, graphics, you gave away spoilers, no sound mention and poor punctuation, not to mention no proper paragraphing.

Honestly, I give this game 5/5, because of its re-playability, and it is a great deal.

....Why? Why are they re-playable? You mention almost nothing!

Your review needs to be better punctuated, more fleshed out, more in depth and just all around better in every aspect of a normal review.

Really I think this topic, as it stands, should be in gaming discussion, not user reviews.
(Sorry I'm not trying to be harsh or unfair.)

Personally my favourite game from the Orange box is Portal. None of the other games come close.
I think it's a good length. Sure it's short but that's better than adding repetitive / unwanted game play.

If you want more portal puzzles, I recommend Portal: Prelude a free 3rd party mod.
However, the difficulty level of these puzzles is much higher than the original game.

Half-Life 2 was still a great game, I enjoyed Episode 1 and Episode 2 as well. I think episode 2 was better than episode 1.

TF2 I don't have as much experience with, but from what I've seen everything works well and has more re-playability than many FPS games have online.

Overall, I give the bundle 5/5. Even if you thought it was too expensive before, it isn't now.
It comes with lots of extras and the overall value is great.
