5/5. Easily the best priced package in gaming. The Orange Box is a must have, no matter what you like, something for you is here.

"Now, TF2 is a game..."
"Now, The Half life..."
"Now, It follows Chell..."

You have been given my nitpick of today: why such repetition in the sentence opening when you only have one good-sized paragraph? Some creativity would be nice...

On a more relevant note, The Orange Box is probably is the best value package of this generation, with two and two-thirds great single player games and one highly enjoyable multiplayer romp. With the game now only a tenner online, it really is essential.

Many of you will agree that Orange Box is a must have game. It has 5 games including Half Life 2, Half Life 2 Episode 1, Half Life 2 Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2.
Most of these games taake about 4 to 5 hours to finish, but Team Fortress 2 for the online people, racks up a good 60 + Hours Easily.
Now, TF2 is a game where you have 9 classes, and teams for 4v4, to 16v16. Now, with that, there comes an achievment system. The one thing about it, is like most rants to get achievements, it takes forever to get an achievement. Example, Some can be easy, such as OMGWTFBBQ, which is killing enemies with a taunt as pyro. Some, can be as hard as, play 1 round without firing a shot, and finish the game on the top of the leader board. Very fun game.
Now, The Half life Series. Racks up a good 4 hours per game. very good storyline, and epic weapons that will not only blow your mind, It will blow the mind off of anything in your way. Weapons such as Crowbars, shotguns, and Grenades will make this game series make everybody love puzzles and Violence.
Portal, the 5th and last game on the orange box. Racks of 2 hours, and has great replayability with advanced levels making you pull your hair out. Now, It follows Chell making her way through puzzles with the Portal gun, or ASPHD, if you want. Now, the huge plot twist is, most people go insane through the test, and GLaDOS, the main agatonist, betrays you and ends with an epic showdown of poison, a fire pit, and a very big explosion, followed by a fall.

Honestly, I give this game 5/5, because of its replayability, and it is a great deal.
This game only deserves 5/5 if it's on PC otherwise this game becomes a a pain in the ass to play

I thought the Orange Box was a little bit "meh" Portal was the only part I really enjoyed.

Sure its great value if you like Half Life, but to me it always seemes highly overrated.

All in all the Orange Box gets a 3/5 from me, if it wasn't for Portal it would be a 1.5/5.

I'm confused that people could be presented with 3 Half Life games, an amazingly inventive game like portal, AND a great multiplayer game like TF2 and not immediately give it a 5. In my book this is going down as one of the greatest values/game compilations of all time.

Thats because not everyone likes Half Life. I find it a little dull.

I'll admit that the games can get slightly repetitive at times. I for one didn't necessary enjoy episode one all that much but still this is an amazing package that you aren't going to find in many other places.

But to each his own i guess.

TF2 all the way, 5/5. It is a cheap and convenient way to get the majority of valves source games.

Seriously, The Orange Box goes way beyond a simple scoring scoring system on a 1-5 scale. This is not only the best game deal ever in terms of quality/price, it has the best games EVER!

Half Life 2 is the best singleplayer game ever (if FPSs had leanred anything from it in the last 4/5 years the standard would be twice what it is today). TF2 is the best multiplayer game ever, on the first place alongside Quake 3 (anyone saying it's not balanced, especially after 2 years of updates obviously hasn't played it enough). Then you get the surprise of the year, a short but funny and awesome experience which is Portal, with some awesome map packs that double its lifetime. And then you get the episodes for the aforementioned HL2. What more could you ask for 30 euros (from Steam, and as low as 9 on other sites)? A developer's finger? Quake 3?

And yes, I'm an OB fanboy. 6/5

EDIT: I forgot to mention that if you ever get bored of the games inside, there are s**tloads of mods for it that you can try. About 10 excellent multiplayer ones (that could do well as standalone games), and loads of singleplayer ones. Definitely give The Hidden a try!

I gave it a 2/5 by accident, I meant to give it a 1/5. To be quite honest, I found that Portal was the only worthwhile game in the whole thing. While Half-life 2 was fun for the first few levels, once I got to Ravenholm, the whole thing caved in on itself. It simply stopped being fun, and I never wanted to play it again. And I'm not even gonna bother with the other Episodes. As for Team Fortress 2, as much as I wanted to like that game, I simply couldn't. I've played dozens of matches, and never once did I find myself enjoying it. And I think the problem simply is that I don't like team-based games in general. I prefer run 'n' guns, like Halo or Unreal Tournament, where everyone starts out on even footing and you simply go around and pick up weapons. Oh well, I'm still sort of glad I got it, since Portal was an amazing game, but I still kind of wish I had just gotten Portal seperately instead of getting it alongside a bunch of games I will never play.
Dude, Ravenholm was the worst part of the game for most people, you should have given it a chance.

The Episodes are around 4 hours, but on what planet is HL2 only 4 hours? That game was loooonng.
Problem is I'm stuck, and out of ammo(I suck with the Gravity Gun). Unless, by some miracle, I manage to get past that part, I'm done with the Half-life series.
That'd be a shame, the rest of the game (and hell, even Ravenholm when you go back on later playthroughs) is great. My advice: find a saw blade, a radiator, or a cinder block. Those tend to be the best weapons with the gravity gun. I know you said you aren't good with the GG, but nobody is at first, and Ravenholm is really there to make sure you're at least passable with it.
I already tried that, somehow I ended up killing myself...

In all honesty, I'd have more luck playing through the rest of the level with the crowbar, rather than using the Gravity gun ever again.

"I'd just like to point out that you were given every opportunity to succeed. There was even going to be a party for you. A big party that all your friends were invited to. I invited your best friend the companion cube. Of course, he couldn't come because you murdered him. All your other friends couldn't come either because you don't have any other friends. Because of how unlikable you are. It says so here in your personnel file: Unlikable. Liked by no one. A bitter, unlikable loner whose passing shall not be mourned. 'Shall not be mourned.' That's exactly what it says. Very formal. Very official. It also says you were adopted. So that's funny, too."
