Perhaps morality is just a construct of society, and I am free of its oppressive shackles. Why are you still in the bondage more commonly known as morality? Seriously, what do you benefit from someone's life after you die?
Yup, sociopath.

I don't benefit from someone living after I die. Indeed, that's the whole point. Whilst alive I get pleasure from the fact that my death can lead to someone else living longer. I believe it is morally right. Nearly the entire planet believes it to be morally right. I find it abhorrent that you can seriously announce that you DESIRE people to die.
The majority of the world also once believed that the world was flat. Perhaps all the world needs is a sociopath version of Christopher Columbus to show us the way, I'm thinking Hannibal Lector?

No. NO! You do NOT get to give me this fucking bullshit.
People discovered the world was round thousands of years before Columbus. And the point is irrelevant. Just because SOME people have radically changed peoples understanding of the world doesn't mean your ramblings get the same credit. They laughed at Copernicus. They laughed at continental drift. They also laughed at Bozo the Clown.

You are either a troll, or severely disturbed. Do you not think that maybe there's a REASON that every single civilised society is against murder?

No, no we don't pal. If sociopaths like you took over the Earth and showed us the way, we would acheive nothing as a society. You have the internet because the scientists who made it decided it would benefit the entire world to have it. If you fall ill, theres a health care system that was extended beyond the rich. If sociopaths ruled, you wouldn't have that.

get yourself looked at. there's something wrong with you indeed.

Yes, I did wonder that, then I realized that it was probably because they need all the money they could get from their people. But more on topic, I do not see myself as some kind of revolutionary that is spilling his manifesto on the internets. I was just expressing my opinion and my reason behind it.

You reason being: People have no inherent right to live. And you see nothing wrong with this.
To reiterate: This is not a healthy viewpoint. This is not a moral viewpoint. This is an abhorrent viewpoint. If you came on here advocating Neo-Nazism, white-supremacy or child-abuse people would rightly ostracise you for it. That's the level of offence I feel at your posts.

No, it's not that I don't believe that people shouldn't live its just that after I die it doesn't matter, so why should I care if they do or not. And the fact that I offend you as much as whole groups of people makes me feel powerful.

We clearly aren't getting anywhere. This is such a fundamental concept I simply can't grasp how you can think differently. But yes, it IS that you believe other people shouldn't live. Because if you believed they should live, it doesn't matter a damn whether you're there to see it or not.

Perhaps it is that I simply require recognition for my actions or something to that affect. I'm sorry we couldn't understand the other's viewpoint but i had fun debating the issue of my mental health with you and I hope you did too. But alas, I must depart for the time being and let this thread continue on its intended course.

[sub]search bar approved. all i could find was something about what you want to happen to your corpse when you die.[/sub]

A few weeks ago, while walking around Glasgow, I was wandering through the train station when I nearly tripped over a small woman carrying a clipboard. She thrust it up towards my face, saying "Would you like to become an organ donor?!". That's exactly what I did. I filled out her little form and bam, within 30 seconds I had signed my organs away to be fired into someone else should I die. That's a very blunt way of putting it but it's essentially true. Because of my age, she told me to make sure that my immediate family were aware of this fact. When I told my mum and step-dad, there was a contrast in opinions on the subject.

The questions I pose to you are:
Are you an organ donor?
If so, why? If not, why not?
If you want to be an organ donor, why aren't you one already?
No, i am not an organ donor, and do not intend to be one.
Reason you say? I'll make it simple....I care more about my organs than the lives of most humans on this planet (and i'm 15 and technically 15 and thus illegal to do so).
The reason people give their organs is either for
1. They hate their organs
2. They do it for money
3. For a loved one
4. They are delusional about something
That is the only reason i came up with so.......yeah.
Also....WHY did you sign the Form??
But what use are your organs to you if you're rotting in the ground?
Why not give them to someone that needs them?
Well it seriously depends on the circumstances does it not?
If i died in a glorious gun battle against aliens then....i don't think they'll want it.
If it was for a loved one then yeah why not!
Also i was talking about if i was still alive. and i intend to either die of old age and/or in a glorious gun battle against or with Gordon Freeman. Thus making that line of conversation moot.
Congratulations, you're an A+ Certified Dipshit.

They won't take your organs until you're dead, man, you have to actually schedule yourself in to have 'em taken out while you're still kicking.

Anyway... yes, I'm a donor. The problem with New Zealand is this - when a person dies, of anything, it's treated as a homicide until proven otherwise. That means by the time a corpse is ready for harvestin', the organs are no good.

Generally your shit only gets cut out if you're on life support and the plug is pulled in the presence of the motherfucking Police and Chief of Staff. Even then it's not up to you - it's up to the grieving family.

Result: the waiting list for hearts, livers and lungs is thousands of years long.
*DEEP BREATH* Why don't you Bast-*cough* go to page 2 and you will understand. What, after you call me a Bastard you don't read my explanations anymore?

What if you die by accident? You don't tend to plan for that.
.....True, but look to p.2 and it can be explained. I like bacon.

Fuck donating organs. What if they figure out how to reanimate people in the future? I don't want to come back to life missing my testicles or something like that.

What the fuck? So basically, you're an idiot, or an angsty 15 year old trying to be cool.

Most organ donations are made once dead. Cos, you know, donating your liver while you're still alive is pretty stupid.

1. I love my organs, therefore, you are wrong.
2. There's no money in it when dead. Plus i wouldn't recommend like, selling a kidney anyway, thats silly.
3. Fuck yeah for a loved one. But again, if im dead then my organs are fair game imo.
4. About what? Saving someone's life.

EDIT:

And wait, you thought that people sign up to be an organ donor to donate while still alive?
Yeah, the last second comments about "Definitely not while I'm alive" are certainly confusing me.
*DEEPER BREATH* You guys don't read my posts after labeling me an asshole do you?
Read the posts in which me and Dahni are talking and all will be clear.
Dude, I never labelled you an asshole. I just said that all those posts where the people are saying "I'll sign up, but not while I'm alive" are weird.
Oh.....i thought you were talking about me then. *apologizes* ANYWAY.......yeah.

I see your why and raise you with a "why not?". I don't believe that my body has much more function after I've died, so I might as well give it to someone else. The chance that my organs will save the life of an upright soul I'd actually deem worth saving as probably small, but even then, science might learn from me.

They remove it and put it in a jar.
