That's not surprising as most paedophiles never even attempt to molest or rape a child.

Equally, as I pointed out earlier in the thread, most times a child is raped, it is not by a paedophile but by someone who wants to dominate another and happens to have a child under their care.

Any sex with a child is rape. Children cannot consent to sexual activity. Sure children are raped, pressed into sexual activity through violence and fear. Plenty more are groomed and manipulated into sexually gratifying some adult paedophiles urges. It may not involve a knife and kidapping but it is still rape. Children are not in a position to consent to this.

This is less about your power and control example, this is about adults who are sexually aroused by abusing children.

I'd be interested in reading a study on paedophiles who don't offend (as opposed to convicted, post treatment paedophiles). If you could post a link I'd be greatful.

a) Being sexually aroused by children.
b) Being sexually aroused by abusing someone.
c) Being sexually aroused by the combination of the two.

The majority of the time a child is raped it is because of b.
