I play both, but I'm much more of a console gamer (always have been, too). Honestly, I don't understand why there is any hate. For the most part, I find most PC gamers are pretty tolerant of consoles, but the ones who do hate are just idiots anyway, so I tend to ignore them.
I play both console and PC games, PC games less so lately as I am in desperate need of upgrading! I also own a Wii which is great for just having a little bit of silly fun or getting owned by my 6 year old nephew at Wii tennis, usually having to retire due to a broken nose!
Errr... Probably the exact same reason as there are so many console gamers who spend their days saying there is no way any PC could ever be more powerful than their 360/PS3 - and then go on to wank over what's better out of those 2.

Hello Y1fella, I'm a PC gamer, I don't want to just start flaming with you so hear me out, I agree a lot of PC gamers are complete dicks, but you have to understand so are a lot of console gamers, and more young people play on console's because it's the "cool" thing, by doing this, they then play online and start getting beaten because they don't have the time or patience to learn like I'm sure a lot of hardcore gamers across every form of platform does. Basically they give you guys a bad name, and at the end of the day, they will make more threads bitching or crying about something, where as more mature gamers will put up and shut up, unless it really offends us. Personally I have stereotyped console gamers, but only because of their love for the filthy peice of crap that is halo. ^^ I generally just get on with console gamers otherwise, but my personal opinion remains PC is a better platform.
Edit: Don't expect most people to be as understanding as this post, because you're title and poll was incredibly biased, mate, please try to calm down, no-one hates you. But that will only offend people and make them hate you. Bring the platforms together, not tear them apart

I don't know but I talked to a few pc gamers that said that they stopped playing online on their consoles because of the kind of people you meet say on Xbox live. That is just what I heard, it just seems to be a rivalry of sorts. This is why I can't wait until more of the cross-platform games are released. Pc gamers and console gamers can then truly wreak havoc on each other.

The only thing the wii lacks is internet playing capabilities and if that defines a "gamer" than the pc's are the only true gamers. It is a FACT that the PC's online gaming is superior to that of consoles (Dedicated Servers, No paying, Mods, Map Creation, Free DLC)
So my main point is that by qualifying the wii as not a "gamers" console just because it doesn't have your kind of games or online is like qualifying the Xbox and Ps3 as not "gamers" consoles.

I ask where is the option for a PC/Console gamer, because I play them all, it doesn't matter to me what the gamer plays the game on, as long as he has fun and respects other. On the other hand, I have no patients for PC or Console fanboys who can't understand the merits of a different gaming system
I don't necasarily hate you, have you played Half Life and still think halo is better than Half Life? I asked an entire server what they thought of halo and Half Life, not 1 said Halo was better, that's why I hate Halo "gamers" they are too stubborn. I tried Halo and I admit it is a enjoyable game but no masterpeice.
