Poll: pc gamers why the hell are so many of them such stuck up console game haters

1. Most PC gamers don't hate console gamers.

2. The ones that do are usually just fanboys.

3. Or they see console gaming as 'casual' just the same as you see the Wii.

4. Or they're resentful of the effect that consoles have had on games I.e. Dumbing down and higher prices.

I play a wide variety of handheld, console (had a wii) and all consoles are good for seperate things. Your pre pubecent life will be alot better if you stop beings so single minded and open up to more things. The wii had house of the dead 2&3 casual games? try it on the hardest difficulty. Consoles arent all that great, pc beats them in most ways. But still consoles are great.

I don't even know why I bothered to try and reason with you as your a single minded pointless console fanboy. Theres better things than you Xbox 360 mate!

If I had a grand TV I would buy a console without doubt, There are too many games that I want to test and play to resist like Killzone, Uncharted and Brütal Legend.

What makes at least me aggrevated are when most of the developers backstabs us (I'm saying no names, but I'm looking directly at you Infinity Ward) to make it more accesable to the consolegamers. Does the developers think consolegamers are retarded? Because I can honestly don't see any diffrence if I put them side to side.

The fact that I'm staying on PC for the moment are Valve, Keyboard/Mouse and the larger backcatalogue.

You are a huge hypocrite. You say that pc gamers hate console gamers which is not true. Your argument is that you taunt the wii because they aren't actuall "real" gamers because...

This whole argument is based on your idea of a gamer. To you it appears to be anything thats not the wii or casual. You seem to be the kind of person that would get called a console tard. You probably play lots of MW2. Why do you feel superior to the wii? The wii is a console and it plays games just as fun if not more than the xbox and ps3. The only thing the wii lacks is internet playing capabilities and if that defines a "gamer" than the pc's are the only true gamers. It is a FACT that the PC's online gaming is superior to that of consoles (Dedicated Servers, No paying, Mods, Map Creation, Free DLC)

So my main point is that by qualifying the wii as not a "gamers" console just because it doesn't have your kind of games or online is like qualifying the Xbox and Ps3 as not "gamers" consoles.

If one plays SSBB religiously and kicks ass are they not a gamer because its "for casual gamers"

wii is not a games console because of the gimmic the average player and the abundance of five day production rate casual games. casual game aren't gamers games because they arn't art. also you jumped to a conclusion about my definition of a gamer. a gamer is somone who plays game and call himself willingly a fan boyof any existing gaming series/franchise and is illing to name themself a gamer which is why i taunt wii gamers for there own good say they can save themselves from the inevitable dissapointment for when nintendo sets about alienating its fanbase. also its fun. online stuff is irelevant even if awsome.

"Like You" Whiny sniffly console gamers who cry to their mums how "Oh the pc gamers are so horrible to me" Then you waste valiable thread space complaining about it. Why does it bother you? Got a niggling doubt that your not having as much fun with your 360 as you think your having? Thats why all this really gets to you doesn't it.

But I can accept why the pc gamers are pissed off with the console gamers. And its the same reason "most" of us console gamers are pissed off with the wii. Its bringing in a different crowd and where loosing out on the market to cheap over priced bathroom scales. And the pc gamers have been loosing their market to us console gamers. So everyone just pissed off at the guy that entered in later and is making more money.

That being said I am sick of people saying this, I hardly ever hear any kind of elitism, concerning gaming.

Let's see... I am a PC gamer. I also play a lot on my 360, and lately a lot on my Wii. I love Halo as much as I love Half-Life, and I think MW2 looks boring.
One of my favorite games on 360 is Viva Pinata. Other highlights include Dead Rising, Ninja Gaiden, Assassins Creed series and Braid. I have a nice shelf of games going on GoG.com, and I am currently playing Torchlight while I try to figure out why my graphic card crash my computer when I play certain games.
My DS is heavily used when visiting my parents, where I am now close to beating Prof. Layton. Not sure what my Harvest Moon farm looks like these days, as I haven't played it in a while.

What does all of that make me? A GAMER! Not a console gamer, not a PC gamer. I am a gamer. And that is the "superior race", knowing that we are all gamers no matter what we game on. <-Me being a hypocrite I guess.
