Oh, on the note of the Wii, I personally think it's more of a "party game" not something like most consoles or the PC, it's there as more of a sociol event with friends to help break ice at small parties. Perhaps not the epitemmy of "COOLNEZZ" but, it's still pretty good fun with friends

The Wii has plenty of party games, but that is hardly its entire repertoire.

wii is not a games console because of the gimmic the average player and the abundance of five day production rate casual games.

What really annoys me about these kind of threads is that if the OP actually sat down and thought on the problem they would already have a answer.

Its the same reason why PS3 gamers make fun of 360 gamers, they're fanboys. Well that's one of the reasons, my experience with console gaming (Got a 360 and a ps3) is that the online is filled with children shouting obscenities whilst the PC online those people are rare. Not only that when looking at the 360 range of games its filled with generic shooters hardly any gems, whilst when I look at the PC there is so quite a few gems jumping at me, Total war series, neverwinter nights, Battlefield etc. So that is why I'm mostly a PC gamer because the games I like are on PC.

Do I think the PC is the better console? yes I prefer the controls as they can have lots of functions leading to more complex games (Like total war), the mouse gives a more accurate aim when I'm in a FPS, playing online is FREE and I have they joys of mods that add to the games life time.

That said I still enjoy games like Borderlands and prototype on my PS3, but in the end I will always prefer playing games on the PC (Unless they're a racing/fighting game).

I play PC and consoles. I even have a Wii and (flame this post) I have found that there are some quite good games for it that I have enjoyed playing. But the majority of Wii games are shite.

I prefere PC for competetive gaming because of the mouse and keyboard precision, but I like consoles for playing with my friends, because they are more accessable.

I think that anyone who has to ask this question hasn't sat down and had a proper discussion about it.

Anyone who condemns the console out of hand is just as bad as anyone who condemns the PC as a game platform out of hand. They both have their respective merits and I know plenty of people who own both platforms.

My preference is PC and always will be, I love the indie gaming scene which will never make it on to console (little big planet was the toe in the water test) as well as having the emulators and retro games to keep me busy.

Multiplayer I'm not too fussed with MMOs I've tried and yes, needing access to a full keyboard means that they'll never break onto consoles unless they change their input. FPS multiplayer is good on both, sure you can't turn as fast on a console and that'll remain a huge problem.

We didn't misinterpret anything, you just failed to notice your own ignorance. This is a forum for gamers; we post here because we enjoy games, and appreciate the medium. While we may debate (even argue) the quality of games and consoles/PCs, we don't actually hate the person, and have the maturity to accept that not everyone shares personal oppinions.

Just because you dislike the wii and see no value in it, please don't transfer those feelings to the people who enjoy them. You're a gamer, they're a gamer.

I feel at least some of it is a class thing. Many working class families cannot afford to give little Johnny a gaming rig for his Christmas, he might get a console though. This leaves working class teenagers as primarily console gamers.

At least some of the hate is based on snobbery and class divide.

I'm thinking some of the "console gamers are too stupid to maintain a PC" comments I've read here support my argument.

PCs have that added issue that they need to be maintained to run the newest games, which IMMEDIATLY eliminates some of the most retarded console gamers unless someone else is doing it for them.

Smacks of superiority. I'd say its similar to when someone having skills on SFII, Tekken or MVC2 are seen as less worthy (just memorising combos) than someones skills on Counter strike or Starcraft.

I do have to point out the irony first off as this is trollish and you are complaining about a part of the gaming community being trollish.

I am a PC and Console gamer and I don't hate Console people I just hate all the twats on it and I also hate the PC twats.

I am really sick of hearing about PC elitism I mean we just got through the Flood caused by Modern Warfare 2.

If you ignore said "elitists" and "tards" they will go away as they are thrive on being listened to.

Some PC players are just stuck up and provide this image of PC players because they are vocal.

Just as Halo3 online is associated with whiny high pitched 14 and under because they are most vocal and talked about on it.

I mean when was the last time you heard about a nice, mature, not racist Halo3 player or a considerate, friendly, open minded PC player?

If you ever have you probably don't remember that is because people rather ***** about people that a annoy them than praise people who help them so the majority ie the good people on Console and PC are ignored and never heard of.
