I am a pc gamer and hate those who insult console gamer, BUT I do hate console gamers that don't know what they are talking about (like pc gaming is dieing).

The truth is that pc or console gamer we should all be glad they exist as console do the best thing and that is developing more games and they are made for pc also. And pc is really god for console gamer as we define what tehnology they will have. If pc wouldn't exist company like ati and nvidia would try so hard to develop more and more advance chips. And there is also other stufs for each system but this is the main two reason why we should be glad for pc/console coexist.

Most PC gamers are just annoyed by the limitations of playing on a console (like lack of mods, for example) and are used to the superior precision that mouse and keyboard can bring.

Then of course, there's the console gamers. Most of whom are fine, but then there's the ones who come on forums and start having a period about their problems and tarring everyone with the same brush.

Also, console multiplayer is shocking. You have to pay for a decent online service (XBL) and then for some reason there is (unfairly) a limit on the number of players on certain games compared to their PC iterations.
This.

now ill freely admit i taunt every one who claims to be a gamer and plays on the freaking wii the casual gaming retards but i don't understand why so may pc gamers hate every console gamer and i ask why. i swear it seems like the pc gamers are the kinda people who enslaved the back
If any of what you are saying is true, then why do we get a thread titled "Why are PC gamers so terrible?", "Why are PC gamers so stuck up?", "PC gaming is dead!", etc. once a week? If anything, I've seen console gamers spewing hate at every turn and rarely do I see threads dedicated to bashing consoles.

If anything, the question should be "Why do so many console gamers hate PC gamers?"....

I'm a console and PC gamer. I go where the fun is; no more, no less. Any fanboy arguments over which is better splits the peer group and dilutes the experience.

Eh. I'm a console gamer at heart, I only dabble in PC games. If you enjoy games, you're a gamer. So yeah. I see how the elitism occurs but I still think its a load of rubbish.
And I have a Wii. I bought it just after release, and had it long before the PS3.

Where's the option for normal people who play whatever systems they FEEL LIKE?
Also, why the fuck do you hate the Wii? It had Zelda: Twilight Princess! RedSteel 2 looks fucking awesome, and Madworld and No More Heroes stepped in a new direction, plus, Nintendo are fixing their remote. I know you can argue it should have been like this since the day it came out, but the Wii was the first use of motion technology in consoles. (I would say PC gaming as well, but then I'd get shot down by people who love their Black And White control gloves.) It couldn't be perfect from day one.

Anyway, I enjoy gaming on both types of system. PC has stuff like Infocom's stuff, the classic Lucasarts adventures, Thief, Diablo...
Consoles have stuff like Halo 3 (Many Halo negatives just have no friends to play split screen with. Nothing's quite the same as sitting in a room with your friends gravity-hammering and plasma-grenading the shit out of each other), the better versions of GTA 4, with DLC for 360, Arkham Asylum (Did that come out on PC or what?)...

Why can't people just enjoy the pickings of games? Well, partly, it's because of the perceived lack of punctuation and grammar in discussion (kidding, kidding), the influx of 13 year old boys shouting about how their 1337 pwn493z are winz, and the influx of the specialised kind of 13 year old boys who go on the MLG playlist and tell people to just stop playing (I like to teamkill this variety so our team gets the shit kicked out of it). The insults and stuff. And the drunken frat boy image.

Also, just because I like doing this,
People on both extremes of this argument are idiots.
Excluding systems from their minds simply because they're too advanced for them to install games or because they have no-one to play split-screen with. It's bullshit, just be like me and roll with the games.

You realize that PC gamers have every right to say that consoles are bad for a multitude of reasons...

1. Any remotely serious PC Gamer has a computer that is superior to a console.
2. The PC Gaming Community isn't filled with little children thinking they are the most elite person to ever walk the planet, screaming down the mic if you kill them after them sitting there looking at you and not even trying to fight back.
3. Server hosts have a kick button. (Applies to point 2.)
4. Server hosts have a banhammer. (Applies to point 2, if point 3 doesn't work)

Ok, main point made, now, I know this because I am a PC and console gamer, mainly PC these days since the latest batch of whining minors has just arrived on the consoles just in time for Christmas. And to give you an up to date spec. comparison, Left 4 Dead 2, the 360 version is equivalent to a low/medium setting on my PC and doesn't run as smooth as it does on my PC when my PC is on High. Now, tell me I have no right to say that the PC is better than a console?

I think some people are overly obsessed with how 1337 their processors and graphics cards are.

1. Mods
2. Community not full of tards
3. See one
4. Dedicated servers
Those too

That wasn't obsessing, and I wasn't trying to boast or anything, my point was, on the whole PC gamers tend to have computers more powerful than consoles.

Because console gamers are retards who have to grasp of grammar or spelling

OOOH BURNED

On a serious note, I think your complaint is invalidated by hating on people who play the Wii. Kind of a double standard, don't you think?

(note: I am both a console and a PC gamer)

Past the obvious generalisations and hypocrisy in the OP, there is a reason for the trend you apparently are seeing here. It's simple, really.

PC gamers are usually more wealthy than console gamers, especially those with hi-spec PCs. Often, a gamer will buy a console not because they want to, but because they cannot afford a proper gaming PC, or so it might look to a PC gamer who has always had this advantage.

It's natural (though horribly immoral) for those who are rich to rub in the poorness of others. It is typical alpha-male chest-thumping, like any sign of ego. Of course, what you fail to realise having never stood on both sides of the court, is that ego exists in some on both sides. Neither are correct in their assumptions about the other.

How do I know? Easy. I have been on both sides. There is no option appropriate to me on your poll, because I am a PC *and* console gamer, which allows some level of objectivity because I can choose between games for multiple systems rather than choosing because of the typical pride shown by gamers in their one chosen machine. I realise that I am privileged, and understand that this does not make me superior. But it does help me to see what goes on with these "console wars", and frankly it's all pointless fanboy posturing.

There is value in all of these machines, and all of them have at least some good software.
