Does he later realize that those things he meant at the time are untrue? If he does, and he chooses to keep the truth from us, how can you say that he's not dishonest?Eclectic Dreck said:but then I don't have any reason to think that he does not believe the things he says.
Skarin may not have read that Peter Molyneux claimed that Black and White 2 had 11 lands and 7 tribes. No matter how you spin it, it didn't, and Peter Molyneux mentioned that it didn't AFTER Millions of copies were sold. Skarin claims that the trees grew in Fable because they changed color, Peter Molyneux said there would be trees growing from saplings, there were not. He did not later come back and tell us that his claim (among others) was false until three months after the game was released and millions of copies were sold.
So ultimately it boils down to this.
1: Peter Molyneux is an intentional liar OR
2: Peter Molyneux meant what he said at the time and later realized what he said was untrue, thus he was dishonest for intentionally keeping the truth from us OR
3: Peter Molyneux meant what he said at the time and he wasn't unaware of what was going into or being cut from his game OR
4: Peter Molyneux meant what he said at the time and he later forgot as his statements were proven untrue and didn't think to tell us the truth, thus unintentionally allowing us to believe a lie.
Saying he's overly enthusiastic suggests 3 or 4, which falls into the idiot/unaware catagory.
