Depends, for something like a headache I just wait it out, for an illness I take a shitload of garlic and wait it out. Got me through the "ultra-deadly worldwide-pandemic get-vaccinated-or-you-die swine flu" in 3 lousy days.

I usually do my best to wait it out or sleep it off. Can't let your body get used to being babied. If it persists, go see a doctor. I've seen people get addicted to Neurofen [contains a mild opiate], so I'm a bit wary about popping pills to alleviate ailments.

I do drink Lemsip when I've got a particularly nasty cold, though. Probably not a good thing. But it's delicious.
Oh, and decongestant in the same situation. But that stuff usually knocks me the hell out or gets me slightly high. Again, I should probably man up.

I wait everything except period pain out because I'm well paranoid that I'm gonna become immune to them haha!

But period pain is too fucking awful to wait out. Do not want to be throwing up once a month thanks very much.

Depends on what is afflicting me.

Runny nose, sneezing, coughing= Maybe take some dimetap before bed. As far as i can tell dimetap isn't an anti-biotic so i don't mind taking it to help me sleep.
Vomiting, nausea=I drink some mild tea to calm my stomach and wet my throat so the acid doesn't make my gastric reflux worse.
Headache=Take a pill. Instantly. I have a history with headaches. As a child trying to wait them out simply led to them getting worse. All the way up to blinding pain. I got them constantly as a child as well, and still do get them quite frequently. Despite doctors having no clue as to why. I also do not mind taking a couple advil for headaches because its not an anti-biotic and I'm not hurting my immune system any.

It was only an hour ago that I had a pretty thumping headache and took two Panadol for it. Feeling better now so it's all good.

Depends. If it's really annoying/painful or I actually want to do something (therefore not wanting to be sidetracked by pain), I'll take something for it. If it's mild and and I'm not busy, I don't mind just waiting it out most of the time.
