No damn way will I buy this game. I hate fighting games with the partial exception of Smash Brothers because I genuinely like pretty much every character. I'm not into Fire Emblem, or Ice Climbers, but other than that I am familiar with the games and characters and the SSB games are good on their own with a bajillion bits of Nintendo info and references of things you probably would never have remembered or known to begin with.
Its like its "Nintendo: The Game" and showcases just how many beloved characters from great games they have, and looks like it took quite a bit of time to come up with all the various moves sets considering much of the characters don't actually use fighting game analogous attacks.
Sony All Stars looks like crap. The cast I have bothered to keep tabs on so far is lacking in both quality and quantity. So in that sense it almost perfectly mirrors Sony's exclusive gaming line up the last 3 generations.
I say that as an PS 1,2,3 owner with no love for Microsoft or the Wii at all btw.
Half of the cast aren't even from Sony made, or Sony exclusive franchises which is odd. Dante, Big Daddy, ok sure whatever.
Kratos, Ratchet, Nathan, Sly, and Cole are the exceptions that I can see. They are part and parcel (Infamous pun intended) of Sony's library. Sir Daniel is right out of left field, but welcome because I loved both Medievil games. Maybe there were 3? I forget. Parappa is totally understandable. I never had any interest in his game, but back when he was about the only game on PS1 I guess a ton of people played it.
I have been unable to find a full roster anywhere, as apparently their isn't one yet. All I see are threads talking about what characters from every possible non Sony game will be in DLC. People are practically creaming themselves over how much DLC character additions they get to buy. Which is like totally opposite of any Capcom game ever right?
Things like Radec? Why is he an All Star? Sweet Tooth? I guess his truck wouldn't make an interesting fighter? I've never played more than a few hours of a friends Twisted Metal game but doesn't it like turn into a robot or something?
I would list the games I DID play for PS1 and PS2 that I think would make good character additions, but nobody really cares. The game doesn't warrant it.
