Though I respect you and your opinion I believe that your logic is some what flawed. Two reasons why;Viruzzo said:Never fired one, never seen one fired, just a few times seen one in person. I live in Italy and they are very rare here, only police forces and hunters have them. If you ask me, that's a very good thing.
On the topic of gun control: if guns are widely available to citizens, it doesn't matter that most will not use them or will use them sparingly and wisely, they will also be widely available to criminals who will use them more and to commit crimes (duh).
Less guns = less gun-related crimes.
Never, because there is a more powerful weapon, the gun. However I believe that violent people are violent. Without access to a gun, why not a knife. If guns were banned I bet that the number of knife attacks would greatly rise, and we very might here a knife massacre. Thats just my two cent's.blue_guy said:It's not much of an issue that people use them to kill one person, it's when nutcases go and shoot down half their school. When was the last time you heard of a knife masacre?Crazzee said:Yeah, because there are just SO MANY people running around just killing people with guns for no reason. If somebody wants to kill someone else, they're gonna make it happen regardless of whether or not they own guns. Guns just make it go that much faster.blue_guy said:Because you can use them to kill people?Crazzee said:I don't fire them often, but honestly I don't see what anyone has against the owning of guns anyway.
Not heard of Switzerland? They will save us all. Also where do you think all the disgruntled soviet arms dealers unloaded all of their weapons? Europe is armed we just dont cling to a ragged old piece parchment that allows everyone and their mum to be packin heat.Krythe said:You know, come to think of it... if the zombies ever do show up... Europe is just SCREWED. No guns, no will to act (except in Glasgow maybe), and the politicians will be calling for dialouge instead of fighting.
if you want to go buy lay claim and not when Australia became a country(I know that what i did not go by either), The Spanish were here in 1558, English in 1606, Dutch in 1625, France in 1534. Lay claim means demand as being one's due or property; assert one's right or title to, so yeah.Nerdfury said:We laid claim in 1770.JJMUG said:Wat?Nerdfury said:EDIT: Oh, and I'm in Australia - the US's slightly older and much cooler brother. You know, the one that everyone prefers to hang out with and go to the pub with.
1776 (July 4 Deceleration of Independence is signed) is younger than 1788(British colonization)? are we going backwards? i am so confused right now. I can not tell if your serious or not.
OT: i have and i own two but rarely get out to shoot them.
Sarge, I got a question for you: when do you think is a good age for a kid to start learning how to fire a real bow and arrow?Tarrou said:I used to love archery, and bow season for whitetails is a perfect time of year to be out in the woods, but unfortunately some injuries have left me unable to use a bow properly, so I gave my Mathews to my brother. I kept my longbow, just for sentimental purposes, it hangs in my living room.![]()
