Yes, I have shot a gun, a .22 revolver, which is my dads. My dad is more or less a pacifist and he doesn't even like having it in the house. Being in America, I want to join the NRA, if only for the fact that I find firearms and weapons (I collect swords) interesting.

I have also shot an Colt .45, which is my grandfathers from WW2.

I have and I live in Texas. The gun I shot was a WWII classic, the M1 Garand and it kicked like a mother.

Retired US Army here. Carried an M4 and have fired (in training) the M16A2, M249, M240, M2, M9 and a few others. Plus I own a bunch of personal weapons.

Australian Army - yes I have fired a few, in and out of the Army. or those that have guns, I hope you are never in the position of having to shoot at someone, or treat someone who has been shot. It's something you'll never forget, and not fun.

.410 shotgun, started shooting skeet when I was about 7. I fired a very light 12 gauge in middle school, kicked like a mother. Haven't really done it in years though. American.

This might surprise you, but I'm from Texas, and the only gun in our house is an old BB gun. Still, it is a gun I suppose ...

I've never shot a gun, but I live in Detroit so I hear them in the distance every once and a while.

I have, there is a shooting range by my house and every once in a while we go down there and rent a pistol to fire generally small caliber

I never shot a real gun, I'm guessing Nerf doesn't count. Shame too, 'cause I'm a really great shot.

I also live in America, in a quiet suburb, with parents who are "non violent".
I don't mean to rag on you but a real gun can really mess up your aim unless you are use to it so until you shoot one you can't say much about how your aim is.

I used to compete in shooting competitions but I'm off the circuit now and beyond that I have never shot a gun or owned one really. I just rented what ever I needed from the coaches. I live in America and have never gone hunting. Non violence has its perks.

I think what you meant was:
I've shot a rifle. Hell if I know what it was though. Then again, I'm an American so I say 'To hell with the name, I just want to shoot the thing. Muwahahahahaha. >_>
OT: There's no option for having shot the gun but not owning it (Including parents not owning it).

I'm Australian and have shot a gun once. I didn't particularly want to but my dad offered when we were near a shooting range and I like to try everything once (within reason).

It was a 9mm pistol (Don't know any more details than that) I got to fill the magazine and load it which was pretty cool and then I failed at firing pretty hard. Over all the experience was boring at best.

My dad use to own a pistol of some sort which he got rid of before my younger sister was born.

I have no desire to ever own a gun or hold one again. I understand the utility of being able to use one but feel that they are the worst invention to date.

Shot for my schools rifle team, I'm a marksmen first class. I was considering doing more years, maybe become a ranked sharpshooter but the jackets they make you wear were unbearable for more than a year.

I've fired my dads .22(frequently), an ak-47(3 times), and a very low caliber pistol(once). I don't own any myself at the moment but I do love guns and I intend to own/collect them one day.

I own several firearms. As I live in Alaska, this shouldn't surprise anyone. As I like to describe alaska to my relatives, "Alaska is a state full of beautiful scenery that occasionally tries to eat you." While I've never actually HAD to use my firearms for self defense, it is kinda like a condom. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Yes, I've fired guns. Several in fact.

I purchase old SKS rifles, restore them, and put them on consignment at the same place I bought them. Turns a small profit, actually.

Besides those, 2 AK-47's (An old Romanian and a PAR-1, which was made in 2003), A Mosin Nagant M44 and M91/30, a .308 Vepr, an H&K .308, a typical 30.06 by Savage, a .223 Saiga, one Mossberg security 12-G shotgun, one sawed-off Winchester 12-G (illegal, yes, I know. I got rid of it), an F&N 5.7mm Pistol, several iterations of .22 rifles, and any given designation of CZ pistol.

In case you haven't already guessed, I hail from Colorado, U.S.
