I wouldn't say MLP is a great show, but the fandom it attracts can be very vast in the areas of what they enjoy
I myself enjoy it, but wouldn't be able to vote on this pole for that reason
The lack of Applejack in your avatar saddens me greatly.

OT: It's just a cartoon that I happen to enjoy quite a bit. I haven't watched a "good" cartoon in a very long while, so being a part of the MLP:FiM fandom just fits for me.

Seriously, the last cartoon I enjoyed this much was Courage the Cowardly Dog, which will always be my favorite for nostalgic reasons.

Well, It's nothing I enjoy to be honest.
It's about average, and nothing more.
I mean, there's lot's of better cartoons/animes out there than MLP

The shows pretty good, and has maintained a good level of quality.
The fanbase on the other hand appears to be going through some growing pains, but that doesn't really matter for me.

I dunno; in a world where Big Bang Theory or NCIS are considered respectable entertainment, liking MLP just seems like the decent thing to do.

Heck, NCIS is basically just MLP-but-cops with worse writing, shallower characters, and more implausible story lines.
This has to be one of the most hilarious things I've read on here in a while. Sir, I agree and I commend you.

Big Bang and NCIS are absolutely awful, and they are like the highest rated shows on TV now...

My interest in the show is actually starting to dwindle considerably, especially after that last episode with Discord. The master of chaos, who previously gave no fucks about friends, suddenly becomes a softy after Fluttershy befriends him...Really?

I think the only times I will ever find myself watching this show again is when they have 2 parter episodes, because at those are a lot more interesting than the 'day in the life' episodes.

I think some of the stories are really ambitious. A few episodes really went crazy with deep psychological exploration and social satire. It has been a long time since I saw an episode that really hit the ball out of the park so I'm slowly losing interest in it.

Considering I was forced to watch it at 5am because my girl friend wanted me to watch it, I fucking hate it. Not solely for the reason of being forced to believing it was the "B3S7 7H1NG 3V4R", but just because I didn't care for anything that was going on or why it was going on. It's not smartly scripted, not astounding in terms of animation (if you've ever bothered to watch more than a handful of cartoons in your life), and the voice acting doesn't exactly woo me either. It was designed to do exactly what it was meant for. That design is to appeal to little girls until they eventually grew out of it. That being said, I don't give two sheep shits about this show or it's fans.

Never forget the Jackie Chan Adventures is and will always better than anything My Little Pony could ever amount to.

I tried watching a couple of episodes of it, well someone got me to watch it with them and it completely bored me to tears. It wasn't for me and I expected I wouldn't like it. On its own for what it is I would say it is above average as it is not as good as some people make it out to be or as bad as others do.

I've seen most episodes of it and I do enjoy the show. It's a good quality cartoon and quite fun to watch. It has good voice acting, it's wonderfully bright and colourful, it has good messages to give and the music is fantastic.

I grew out of cartoons pretty young.

I guess it had a lot to do with there being one TV in the house, and my parents wanting to watch things.

So, I moved onto PC gaming when I was quite young.

Gaming was my childhood, my more so than cartoons, so, I really don't see the appeal of cartoons like MLP.

To be honest, I find bronies to be genuinely creepy, and I've yet to meet one I haven't found pretty repulsive.

Having been part of the furry community for a fair while, the parallels are interesting. Unfortunately, most of them negative.

Really, I don't think I can say anything in this thread that hasn't already been said better. I like the show, and I have my own reasons for liking it.

But really... I think this image sums it up:

It's up there with the best children's cartoons, but it's not quite the revelation that the bronies think it is. I mean, it's pretty decidedly for it's primary audience of young girls, as opposed to something more layered like Adventure Time. For what it is though, it's pretty excellent. Certainly, it's one of the very best kids shows out there in terms of writing and animation quality, and it's practically unheard of for a show to speak so successfully - and so positively - to a female audience.

Careful what you said, if you speak anything remotely bad against Bronies, the mods will give you a warning while they don't care what you say about any other group of people.

Meh, I'd say it's decent enough animation based on the few episodes I've seen. Technical quality is good, voice acting is between acceptable and good, and as far as episodal plots go they're fairly standard fare for a kids show. I do find it refreshing in the sense that some fairly serious issues are tackled tangentially, characters aren't monodimensional, and the world it has been built to contains some darker elements (despite naturally Good Always Prevailing).

It is overly saccharine and cheesy for me personally, but I do not consider it all that displeasing to watch if I'm babysitting my nephew and niece. A good show for children, and far better than several cartoon/animation alternatives, but ultimately for understandable reasons not for me personally.

Will the internet never cease it's fascination with Bronies and MLP?

Yeah, some of us enjoy watching a TV show aimed at girls, problem? You just don't see many good quality cartoons these days is all, not like it was back in the day. Plus MLP possesses many mighty fine qualities if you're willing to give it the time.

What you're saying could be considered mod sass, which is also warning-worthy.

Reported.
So I'm not allowed to warn people that you can get a warning for that? You just did the same exact thing. Except, well, you reported me for trying to warn people.
