OT: Nonono. Just...no. I don't want to "design" a perfect woman, with all of the Frankensteinish imagery that such a euphemism conjures up. I want to have a woman who is perfection for me--bright, sarcastic, a bit geeky, witty, and very patient--to fall into my life naturally...and mercifully, I have. I don't desire a statistic, a set of measurements. I desire a mind to share my own mind with.

(My apologies if this comes off vaguely sanctimonious or fantastically corny. It's both.)

This is asinine. I can see debating preferences over something like hair color or length where it's about the woman's preference, but height is something you can't change and only serves to reinforce damaging societal expectations.

Height? That's retarded. What makes height the thing worth voting for over anything else? Heck, I'd honestly say that's the thing I'm LEAST concerned with when thinking about a "perfect woman".

Personality is obviously first and foremost, as well as interests, opinions and so on. A woman that I could feel comfortable with is fine with me. I mean, yeah, i can't say I'm some holy crusader that cares nothing about looks (sorry) but height really isn't what I would've picked as a poll.

Yeah, where's the "I don't give a flying shit how tall a woman is" option? Seriously, I'm not going to say that I don't take physical appearance into account, I'm not proud of it, but I do. But height isn't one of the physical elements that I find myself too concerned with.

Well I need a height because many others have different tastes, just don't vote and vote on the next one.

Sure, it may all be in fun, but over my time here I have seen so many threads on the Escapists' preferences on women physically. I hate to think it, but I'm beginning to think if I met some of you people, I'd be measured up to a mental list of physical characteristics, and reduced to a score on how much I please you visually.

This makes me mad, because women are more than collections of physical features. Maybe you know that, but I thought I'd share my two cents' worth...

I had no intention of sexism or alienation, I am sorry if you felt this way. I may include behavioral features later on and even perhaps a male version of this so females may also take part.


Also I understand people are getting on edge about including height but all physical features I feel should be included and you can't have a person without any height... Perhaps I should have started with something else though, my mistake.

Why does it always have to be feet? Why not another system of measurement? You know, one THE REST OF THE WORLD uses? One that's officially accepted as measurement in scientific context? One that makes it completely easy to convert to "bigger" or "smaller" units?

I like my girlfriend a bit shorter than me, about as tall to rest her head against my shoulder/chest when hugging. I think that would be about 1,60 to 1,70 metres.

I don't really care honestly. I'm about 183cm and there are a lot of girls here that are taller than me, so I don't really care about height.
