We Brits don't get it, sadly. Only ads I've seen is for the content on the site and the Escapist store.

Oh, and the Blackberry ad in the Captcha.

I shall begin filing complaints immediately.

I initially raged NO! since this site is used by a lot of kids and pre-teens and such. Then I realised one of the ads has Faye Regan... so um... yeah... I'm ok with this.

They deleted about half the anime and manga pages entirely because FastEddie doesn't understand that just because anime features an underage girl it isn't automatically pornographic. I think at the moment there's a big reinstatement thing going on, but each page has to be appealed individually, so loads are going to be missed for ages.

It was hilarious seeing them taking down classic literature like Lolita though, just on the offchance that documenting what happens in the novel might tarnish the reputation of troping.

I am still running on the 3 months of Publishers Club I got at PAX, but my friend screen capped the adverts last night and showed them to me. Doesn't seem like they fit on the site to me, but I guess if it pays the bills..?
