So, here's me, extolling the virtues of old-school RPG design, when I see this in the banner ad:
Now, as an unrepentant elitist, it annoys the crap out of me to see .
Hells no, nothing is wrong with you. Though the majority of us have/continue to take advantage of modern masturbation and watch porn, sites like the Escapist are ABOVE porn. And you and I are not elitists for saying so. I'd be happy to call a porn star a friend, given that he/she were also an awesome person. But I still don't have to support their industry by encouraging the Escapist to run ads for it.
Haters, I fully realize that this puts me in the grey and also leaves me open to accusations of hypocrisy. But Hell, I'm single and that shit's visceral.
Oh shit (we can still curse on here, right?), I Just realized that that petty excuse wasn't good enough. How's this?
Not once since I was willing and able to form my own opinions have I had an ethical aversion to the concept of pornography, not of two willing teenagers filming their selves on the good foot doing the bad thing, not Suzy Sucksalot and Dick Doesherhard (not their real names) doing faux-fucking choreography under hotlights until the director screams "cum on her tits!" it has always been The State of porn that bothered me. For example, the sudden post-90's drying up of protection. Remember that? R&B group TLC performed live with "safe sex" written on their jeans, and porn stars would apply condoms to their male counterparts with their lips. Now it's all bareback. Big jiggling don't offend me, because they're real and it's perfectly natural for me to be aroused watching them. But this new mock-rape fad is disgusting. Calling your lover "daddy" can be related to archetypes-most women who do it really get off on it and we're not molested by their father.
What am I rambling about? Porn isn't inherently wrong. Supporting an industry that needs no support and is based purely on I'd instincts on a site about-ahem-art, is
