Yes. Dear God that was awkward for me - it was hentai. Mum just, for some reason, clicked on a jpeg file on the desktop of MY computer, which she shouldn't have been on anyway. Can you say nosy?

This is what LOCKS are for. They don't want to see that anymore than you want them to see it.

I've never been caught but I have had a couple close calls.

I wouldn't react badly as long as it's not something over the edge such as rape, tentacles, guro, beastiality or any other type of weird porn or hentai.

Of course I have seen porn but being "caught" is for kids. I am well above the age of 18. If I saw my kids watching porn, I wouldn't explode, no need for that, but I would know that I needed to have a serious discussion with them and only if they were under the age of 16. Above that age and they would probably know more about sex than I do!

And the discussion would only involve me saying I thought it was inappropriate at their age and I would tell them why. That's about all you can do.

However, if kids do watch porn they are way too smart to get "caught". Any kid that has a computer in their room is suspect.

Never been caught. However, I was at a sleepover at my friend's house. Ok, lets call name the people kid 1 and kid 2. We stayed at kid 1's house for a sleepover. We spent most of the night watchin horror movies. But then kid 2 thinks it is a good idea to go on kid 1's computer, and watch porn the whole night. Me and kid 1 watch mythbusters for like and hour, then go to bed. Of course, he was still exploring the internet when we were asleep. The next day, the computer has a major virus that destroys the computer. It is running terribly slow, and the internet isn't workin. Kid 2 blames it on something else and acted like nothin happened, while kid 1 needed to get a new computer, and explain to his parents what kid 2 did.

Been caught, mentioned in another thread.

If my child was caught I imagine it'd be very awkward, I'd probably quickly leave the vicinity and never mention it. Ever.

Perhaps, but even if I wanted to, there was no lock on that bathroom at the time.

I've had a close call or two, but I have never been caught in process or on the computer.

I have developed Ninja speed and stealth in this aspect, it goes from pornhub to microsoft word with no trace within half a second. Say what you will about internet explorer but dammit I love inprivate browsing.

i haven't been caught but i want to change.

when i watch it i actually laugh at it because some stuff i find so funny ;), i would laugh a lot if (and whenever) i have kids if they did look at porn. i have a program that gets rid of your internet history and cookies....all that jazz. bigpond have sent a few emails stating "unusual activity on your account (malware)" but that was way after i started looking at it. i knew when my dad asked if i knew but i said something else haha. heart was pounding. don't know how my parents would react....i would just say "i find it quite funny" because i do but the whole family would find out :S. i'd love to buy a magazine and see what they say haha. i had a dream last night of these two girl with the top of a bikini on but with the beauties hanging out, then the scene changed into a room and i was hard, next minute im about to stick it in, and then woke up  grumpy face haha. i have researched the masturbating problem (as a person with this problem, like every night!) and if you do some sit ups or push ups or bridges, then you will be less likely to wank but it does feel good and im not satisfied until i cum which is why i look at porn. i get the whole "why did you do that?" feeling afterwards. i guess that absence of a gf isn't helping but i wouldn't get one just to help myself. i am going to meet up with a friend from primary school cause haven't seen each other in years and i thought "wouldn't be great if she was in my room and she took her top off?" i think every guy has had that thought but i knew it wasn't going to happen. i guess the porn has taken over :(. i do smell a bit (its that stage of life i guess) and i am not the greatest looking guy in the world, i have a bump in my nose and have a scalp problem (not dandruff) so no one likes 'likes' me, and if they do they never tell me but i have a lot of friends. one friend (girl) from darwin said "i thought the girls would be chasing you"....fat chance. im 15 and dont want to rush life. oh well i guess porn doesn't see the receiver but the ISP can see both ;)so thats another reason for it.....yeah yeah wrong thread but anyways...but i dont smoke or drink so i would also say "im not a smoker or a drinker, so looking at porn isn't too bad."

Little kids, yes, I'd be pretty pissed off. 14-16, I'd be annoyed and I'd ban it from the house, but I wouldn't have a massive go at them, I'd just sit them down and give them 'The Talk' and make sure they understand about stuff like contraception, safe sex and so on. Over 16, that being the UK age of consent (gotta love old Blighty!), I wouldn't mind too much, as long as they weren't stealing my debit card for those pay-per-view sites (hell, I'd probably direct them in the way of freeview sites like the ones I visit, provided of course that they fully understood all the safe sex and pregnancy and stuff that they ought to know...).

Oh, and I've never been caught. Though that's a relief, since I was looking at stuff a bit more... 'exotic' than your basic porno. Only out of curiosity, you understand...

If it was normal porn, it's ok, just don't let me see it (unless it's good), and no masturbating when others are in the house.
What? How the hell do you expect to pull that off in your average family?

OT: I have never been caught and I have no kids, but if I did catch one of them I would simply ignore it and walk away, as I will make sure to discuss it before it is possible to catch them.

Yes, I've been caught, many years ago when I lived with my parents. I was just like "yeah, so I'm looking at porn... and?".

I'll never have children, but if I did, they could look at porn if they wanted. After all it never hurt me.

Granted, porn is pretty damn demeaning towards women.
Not always. Not even most of the time. Ask the girls from I Hit It With My Axe if they feel demeaned.
With porn being so wide spread and more and more things being considered "common" and "acceptable", many women feel that they are pushed to go further and further so the argument that it degrades is somewhat valid. I mean, look at it from the female perspective. If you're not into say...the "back door" and you learn that your man enjoys watching porn involving that (which a good majority do) how would you feel? Would you feel pressured to do that to match his desires even though it's not something you enjoy? What about BDSM? Or other things? There's crazy stuff out where the women are practically being portrayed as mindless tools used to pleasure every man around them. I mean, I use to enjoy some but nothing too far out of the "norm" and I can see the point of people who say it's degrading.
That's a relationship and communication issue, not an issue with pornography itself. Those pressures can often exist whether porn is present or not. BDSM clubs exist whether people take photos and video of it and sell it or not. Orgies do happen regardless of if someone takes a camera along. People talk about these things and experience peer and societal pressure to conform to (or abstain from) various activities whether porn is part of the equation or not.

Also you're assuming that it's the female who wouldn't want to go as far as the male, often it's the other way around. I can actually think of more cases among my friends where the female wanted to go further and do some fairly "like in a porn film" stuff and the guy just wasn't comfortable with it. Sexual negotiations are a two way street.
Really? That's interesting.... Usually, when I've seen it (among friends, classmates, coworkers, etc), it's been the female being pressured. I agree that it's a relationship issue but it's exacerbated by those other factors.
haha i agree with the men wanting to go further, that is just how we are but women would want to to. i am accepting if whatever happens so if wife ( a while into the future) wasn't ready i would accept that.

What? 14 year olds are smack in the middle of puberty; it's perfectly normal for them to masturbate, and if they want visual aid, why not? I did it before I was 14 and I've yet to turn into a rapist.

Caught with it? Not exactly. One of my housemates borrowed my DVD-R machine and I had left my cowgirl porn in the tray (this was years ago, I don't bother any more, prescription medication means that nothing works). Frankly, it was more funny than anything else.

As for my hypothetical kids - it would depend on the age and the kind of content that they were viewing. I have an older brother and I remember being about 11 years old and him having recently turned 14 - my Mum offered to buy him a copy of Playgirl (this was back in the day when most newsagents stocked adult mags). He said no - I guess this was because he had found my Dad's porno stash in a wardrobe. But I always figured it was progressive of my Mum - she reasoned that he was of age to be interested and working it out with a magazine was better than getting some lass up the duff.

I would also feel a need to sit down with said kid and talk about porno sex not really being like real sex. I see a future generation being very confused when they find a world of normal sized tackle, far fewer brazilian waxes and no bleached arseholes.

My parents used to have really loud sex. After they broke up my mother kept having really loud sex with other guys. It was disturbing.
Haven't been caught yet, but if she ever does catch me, I would call it revenge. =)

I don't see the biggy with porn. For males if you don't do it yourself when you're around that age, then your body just, ejaculates by itself at night eventually any-way. Theres nothing wrong with it. As for women, its probably more looked down upon but i think the same applys to them. And if I ever had kids I would probably just pretend I didn't find it if I did. Theres no need in bringing shit up just to embarass them.
Looked down on? LOOKED DOWN ON?
I scoff. About 100% of the male population thinks that girls masturbating is the hottest thing since magma. So they sort of, look up to them doing it, for lack of a better way of wording it.

But as far as us guys know, barely any girls actually do it.
