Despite what everyone said, Forever Red was a nightmare filled with discontinuity and bad productions issues.
It was better than Once a Ranger... *shudders*
Haven't watched that though, since Time Force was the Last one that I watched "properly". What's so bad about it? Can;t find anything about discontinuity or controversy as massive as Forever Red in the wiki
Because Operation Overdrive and anything associated with it is total crap. The only good thing about it was the sometimes cool quick morphs. As for the episode itself none of the Rangers apart from Adam and Bridge were from any good seasons, Adam didn't have the MMPR theme when he showed up, the OO Rangers had some bullshit quest to do while they were away and Thrax doesn't make any sense.

What's ridiculous is that Once a Ranger is probably the BEST part of OO. Which is really sad, when you think about it.

And I agree with what you said, the quality of the seasons varies wildly. Amazing series like SPD can lead into crap like Mystic Force.

OO is the absolute low point of Power Rangers. It makes Turbo and Mystic Force look like Citizen Kane.

Yeah I know what you mean about the varying quality. Power Rangers seemed to hit its stride between In Space and Time Force, I like to think of it as the golden age.

MMPR-Okay
Zeo - Awesome
Turbo - Horseshit
In Space - THE BEST
Lost Galaxy - Pretty awesome
Lightspeed Rescue - Awesome (Had the best Megazord)
Time Force - Easily the 2nd best
Wild Force- Meh
Ninja Storm - I never really watched it, but I've heard it's actually decent
Dino Thunder -Meh
SPD- Great
Mystic Force- LOLNOPE
Operation Overdrive - Literally the worst thing ever
Jungle Fury - Ehhhh it's got it's moments
RPM- Probably the best in overall quality and production value. Surprisingly awesome for a newish season
Samurai- Saban's first attempt at a new series and it sucks.
Megaforce- I like it, the cast is mostly likeable and I like the theme song

Everyone knows In Space is the best. It's not even debatable.

I can mostly agree with this list (I personally prefer Lost Galaxy to Space, but differing opinions and all).

Also, you get special bonus points in my book for noting the awesomeness that is the Lightspeed Zords. All of them are, by a wide margin, the best Zords ever to come out of PR.

Incidentally, Carter (Lightspeed Red) is my favorite Red Ranger ever. Like, WAY above Jason and Tommy in my book. Linkara totally got that right, IMO.

Lost Galaxy was good but I thought the individual Zords looked kinda dumb and I didn't really like Mike, maybe it was the acting. Still, the Magna Defender was freaking awesome and killing Kendrix was a ballsy move. But nothing matches the sheer awesomeness of Space. The story, the Rangers, the theme song... THE THEME SONG!
I'm just gonna leave this here

Supertrain Megazord was the coolest Megazord of all time, I think I shat my pants the first time I saw it.

And Carter was and still is the best Red Ranger since Andros. They should be in a buddy cop movie. Most of the Red Rangers after them were either bland as fuck or irritating. Notably: Cole, Jack, Connor, Nick, Mack and Jayden. Troy is kinda generic but there's something about him I like.

That... was incredible. I've seen that in my recommendations before, but I never watched it. Now I wish I had been paying more attention to what youtube thinks I should watch.

Ironic part is that JUST YESTERDAY I was thinking that someone should make a Power Rangers theme song medley. It turned out better than I could have hoped. He actually made the OO theme sound cool. HOW DID HE MAKE THE OPERATION OVERDRIVE THEME SOUND COOL?!

I cannot download that song fast enough.

I know right? I thought there was no way they could make OO sound cool yet he succeeded. He even managed to make Mystic Force sound decent! And as good as RPM is, there's no way you can save the god awful theme song.

Yup, this year is their 20th Anniversary. They're celebrating it with the newest season, Super Megaforce (kinda dumb title, I'll admit). Most ranger teams have a specific gimmick or powerset (dinosaurs, or ninjas, etc). This time? The team has the powers of ALL previous rangers. Observe:

And at the end of the season, we're getting a full-on Power Rangers war, with every single ranger from the last 20 years in it.

I like doctor who, really I do. But come on. I grew up on power rangers. Super powered teenagers fighting evil with giant robots? Not just giant robots, but GIANT ROBOT DINOSAURS?! has to go to power rangers.

I'll go with Doctor Who because the ending to Forever Red annoyed me. Think about it you have all these legendary red rangers and didn't bother to bring a megazord or zord just in case but I still love Power Rangers just as much as Transformers, G I Joe, Visionaries: Knights of the magical light (ha bet no-one saw that coming) blah blah and blah.

(Free fact I watched these when I was growing up in the 2000's)

Wow and I thought it was ridiculous when the started doing the time travel space ninja thing. IDK I only actually watched the thing when it was the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers back in '93/94, but I heard about the ninja thing whatever it was.

The show actually got better. I'm not saying to watch Power Rangers, but if you do... watch RPM.

In Space, Time Force, and RPM were all really, really good. Even though the stories were a bit more complex, and RPM on a whole was just awesome. The first black-ranger centered team, the villains origin story was cool, and the fact that they actually make fun of and explain the whole spandex/random explosions thing was a smart move on their part.

Just avoid Turbo, Mystic Force and Operation Overdrive like the plague.
Well, you certainly covered some of my least favourites. And, thinking about it, some of my favourites. I sort of wish Turbo hadn't basically driven me off the brand for so long, because I enjoyed In Space quite a bit.

But yeah, I think it still depends largely one what you're looking for out of a Power Rangers series. Most of the people I know who still like thew franchise are surprised I hated Samurai

Samurai was shitty, I hated every character and the plot was basically Shinkenger in English.

I'm pretty sure it was the first Power Rangers show to be filmed in HD though, so at least it's pretty to look at.

I really like Megaforce though. Jake is probably in my top 10 all time favorite Rangers.

I don't really like Power Rangers so it's Doctor Who by default (although I did actually like that Doctor Who episode). I just can't get over how godawful the acting is. Maybe it's gotten better since the old days but whatever.

I have been watching Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger though and I'm actually quite enjoying that. Super Sentai shows seem way more up my alley. I'd much rather watch the source material anyway.

Doesn't Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger have pretty much every Sentai team ever in it at one point?

Yes it does. At the start of the series and than the team up movie with the previous season Tensou Sentai Goseiger. It is mostly suits for that though. The actully season has regular appearances from past sentais though. Most of the teams have at least one representative show up for a two part arc.
