thinking about all the great people who died way too young, which death makes you feel saddest/ most annoyed, becaause of the human tragedy and the potential for great work that has been lost?
i'm gonna go for buddy holly, cos he was only 22 and his wife then had a miscarriage. also he was a genius and could have done so much more.

Eddie Guerrero.

Pro Wrestler, who basically nearly died in the late 90s due to being on drugs and being in a violent car crash, then nearly died again in early 2000s when he was addicted to pain killers. He cleaned himself up and became a huge legend, but sadly he died in 2005, at only 38.

Jeff Buckley. Never even got to release more than one album. River Phoenix looked like he could have become an incredible actor though (basing my opinion entirely on Stand By Me).

wasn't george carlin in his 70's? that's not very premature. if you had said bill hicks, who died of cancer at 32, i would have agreed.

I put other because no celebrity death has ever really shocked me or upset me. In a way, the only reason some of these people are considered legendary is for the sheer fact they died at the apex of their careers.

Correction, elvis sort of stole rock and profited from it. For me its Janis Joplin, then again most of 1970 wasnt a good year for rock.
hendrix is just noise and before you go off on one i love rock but i dont rate him at all!
and the deaths i was most upset about was Richard Burns and Colin Mcrae each one a million times more worthy of our adoration than George Best

I dont really feel sympathetic to Hendrix, Elvis, and Cobain for killing themselves....I mean really, you commited suicide. That sucks, but its not like you were murdered.
