I wonder what this overt fascination is with MW2 and for people to constantly analyze it. Doesn't it get tiring after a while?

What's the point in prestiging? Anyways, I've never had the motivation to play CoD4, or MW2 long enough to prestige. MW2 already just collects dust in my house. I only break it out when I'm playing with friends.

Definitely don't. There's no point in losing all your guns and achivements for a slightly different medal it just sucks...stay at leval 70 and enjoy the fucking game

I don't really know, I've kinda stopped playing at level 60-ish... maybe I'll play again at some point.

Considering I just spent 20 minutes being called a **** because I "must be host cuz he's winning..and hez shit" no, no I wouldn't.
It's laughable..lag? spamming airstrikes? bad internet connections?
do these people forget what game they're playing?
cheezits.

EDIT: You may as well ignore my post, just frustrated with some A-holes.
If you enjoy it; go for it pal!

No, complete and utter waste of time.

The time delay between matches is enough to change all of your classes around anyway.

I prestiged once and probably will again once I reach 70, its a bit like starting a new character on an RPG. The thing I've found is that it has led me to try out some of the earlier guns that I previously ignored giving me a new take on the game. Still hate the F2000 though. Anyway, it is obviously up to you, if you feel you enjoy playing with the high level guns then obviously prestiging is a bad plan, if, however, like me you quite enjoy playing with some of the earlier weapons then its not really a problem.

Do it. The fun part of the multiplayer is meeting the challenges, earning promotions and getting better gear. Once you stop doing this, you may as well stop playing. Yes, it's hard, but that's the point isn't it? If it were easy, you'd be annoyed, and if you wanted no challenge you'd play the single player on the lowest setting and not even bother taking on the rest of the world. To hard without all your favourite guns with the perks you love the best? Toughen up, get some skills. Go none? Don't prestige. Presitge is prestigeous, if you're gamer enough, you'd do it. The people posting here that say there is no point don't get the point.

Honestly have no idea, I very much doubt I'll ever play enough to prestige, I never put all that many hours into multiplayer.

I think going prestige is fun. Because you continue progressing even though you've gone back to the start. And its always fun completing challenges and leveling up, but you cant do that anymore if you choose not to prestige.

And plus you get a cool badge and thats all the incentive i need to prestige.

So what you're saying is that only gamers who are 'gamer' enough prestige? Sorry to break this to you but any idiot can get to prestige if they sink enough time into MW2, personally I hate having to unlock all the attachments and camoes for my guns, especially the thermal scope for sniper rifles.
