Personally, i'm a loud and proud nerd. i wear the title like a badge of honour. i think it's pretty cool to be able to share a joke with your nerdy buddies, laugh about it and then throw out casual remarks about the intelligence of passers-by.

I do like video games, but when I'm with friends, who don't play games, then I usually talk about things like parties, girls, vandalism, whatever about the things that we all like.

But I am quite intelligent, I don't know why, but I think it's natural for me. And I also wear (atleast other people think) awesome clothes (I heard nerds don't do that), and I am trying to be as non-nerdy as possible.

Perhaps we should define the term nerd, times are changing and so is the meaning of the word!

That's me.

I'm exactly like that, even though I am a nerd, that's still exactly me. I still talk about other things, but when I'm with my "nerd" friends(I guess you could call them.) I'm usually talking aboout different types of games, review them and see if we'd like them or not. So I guess I'm a nerd, but not a big one. I don't seem to act like one really.

I am most definately a nerd and proud of my nerdiness... But I don't define myself by the video games I play, I'm just me and by my personality and sense of dress... People wouldnt pick me as a nerd.

I rarely discuss video games or advertise that I am a nerd but this doesn't mean I hide it, as said before I don't let my choice of hobby define my character and I will proudly announce my long history of gaming if the topic comes up in regular discussion.

I don't really consider myself a nerd, i'm more of a geek...
but isn't that all really pretty much the same?

I am a supreme geek/nerd. Oh so proud of it. Happy to be breaking the mould. I play videogames, I obsess about anime and manga (love chatting to like minded individuals about storylines and such), watch a fair few movies and I positively rim metal music.

If I know that someone I'm speaking with isn't a nerd, I still hold up conversation, so my cross section of friends is pretty vast.

I'm also in the geek division.
As for pride, I'm proud to be me and my geekism is a part of that. So I guess so but not just of my geek-ness, there are other things that define me more.

Nod, I can relate.

I get all wet over powerful computers. I own multiple computers, multiple gaming systems and a laptop, I never go a day without watching anime and would die without the internet. I'm a chemistry major at university and a geek/nerd whatever through and through.

But if I'm talking to somebody who doesn't share these interests I'm not going to bore them with that aspect of my life.

I am a nerd and proud of it. However, I spike my hair, I wear decent clothing, and I can hold my own in most social situations. I think that is the way forward for nerds: To gain social aptitude in order to be become the next generation of society.

Heellll yeah I'm a nerd, and damn proud of it.
it's insane how much alike most of my assumed non nerdy friends from uni are.
Except they seem to think openly being a nerd in front of girls is a bad thing.
In fact, the only person in recent times who disputed nerdy=cool was a girl who was somewhat put off by mr mentioning how I lan (I said group of computers with friends, she dobbed herself in by knowing what it was). Anyways half an hour later we were involved in what, withuot contest, was the most 'nerdy' conversation I've ever had....which leads me to conclude....

WE ARE CONVERTING THEM, ALL POWER TO THE NERDS!!

im a proud nerd. im also exceptionally mean and moderately funny(or the other way around) on the rare occasions i do actually speak, so people dont always notice immediately.

i've been gaming since i was 4 years old, and i still love it, that and i always end up talking about gaming whenever i party, like this last weekend, i ended up in a discussion about retro vs. next gen, while drinking jäger at a friends house, and a while ago, i ended up comparing WoW characters with some bloke at the local pub that i've never met before.

So yeah, im a nerd since age 4 and im still gaming, so yeah, im a nerd, loud and proud!
