Poll: Resident evil 5 or Dead space?

This question has been bothering me for a while now.
Which game is better Resident evil 5 or Dead space and explain why?
I own both of the games and love them.
I love the game Dead space for its horrific atmosphere and beautiful graphics so I probably have to say it was my favorite. But I still enjoyed Resident evil 5.

Dead Space wins. Having played both, I agree with the outcome.

Dead Space wins for me because it was a happy accident.
It fails at everything it's trying to be. It poorly sets the mood and the monsters are too ridiculous to be scary. All this turns the game into a fun action game instead of a third person survival horror wank-fest.

RE5 was however everything it was trying to be. A franchise cash in.

I much preferred Resident Evil 5 to Dead Space, although I didn't particularly enjoy either of them.

I suppose it's because I've always liked the Resident Evil series and it's wonderful dialogue, and therefore I am biased in favour of the Jill Sandwich series.

Resident Evil 5 loses because of it's crap AI partner. But if you play with buddies then its okay.

Dead Space is good, its just that it relies on cheap tactics half the time to scare you. But it gets bonus points because I can kick babies in Dead Space.

I played all of RE5 and just a demo of Dead Space. Dead Space didn't really appeal to me, and while RE5 definitely had a number of issues, in the end I had fun playing it and if they can do a little tweaking with the formula (mainly the inventory system) it marks a good future for the series.

Dead Space, because I can move while I aim. That was a cheap tactic in Resi to attempt to hide how bad the AI was. Resi 5 felt like a last gen game with a HD makeover. If they want the series to continue, they need to up their game and fast.

I LOOOOOVED RE4, and I loved Dead Space.
I have yet to play RE5, but it was as good as 4, I'm inclined to go with RE5.
I loved Dead Space, but RE4 was just absolutely phenomenal.

Dead Space, never thought I'd hear myself saying this about Dead Space but it's got some imagination in it's setting and creatures. As well the gameplay ideas are solid.

Dead Space made me just not want to play it. Resident Evil 5 made me want to eject the disc, break it, piss on it, pour petrol on it then try to set it on fire. Then maybe defecate on it.

Dead Space, though I'm biased since I've not played RE5. But from what I understand it's not got an interesting or original features, where as Dead Space at lest managed to be imaginative.

RE5 dropped the ball with the ammo and heal and your ai friend to me seems to hurt more then it helps so i'd have to give it to dead space

I know Dead space has been criticized as ripping off various sci-fi movies like Event Horizon (one of my favorites btw), but it rips off all the best parts of them and combines them in something that is really entertaining.
