Have you ever played Runescape? if so, did you think it was good?

I've watched someone play it, I've always wondered what was wrong with him.

I played it...it was ok until they brought in that awful trading system...I quit about a month before that happened. Seriously...the biggest waste of time i've ever dealt with.

Played it when I was 11 to when I was 12. With the gift of hindsight, I've realised that it was the biggest waste of a year ever.

I played it for six years. It had a lot of very good features. Alas, I reached the point where levelling up took far too long, and I'd accomplished everything I wanted to accomplish. So I left.

I played it for a while one day lots of years ago because my mate said it was good. I wasn't much into RPGs at the time and so I got bored and gave up.

I played runescape when i was much younger. I came back to it a little while back and was like how could anybody have ever found this fun?

It was good when I was a kid. The premium stuff ruined the fun for a poor lad. There's lots of good features such as that you can be a cook, a fisherman, a destroyer, miner and a blacksmith and a lumberjack and and and... good community! Yeah that should cover it pretty well.

There was no option for "horrible, horrible crap." Really, I played it for about a month (I guess I was really bored). It wasn't the graphics that made me hate it, it wasn't the level/crafting/skill grind, it wasn't the slow gameplay. It was the community. Runescape makes /b/ look like a discussion amongst intellectuals. I play online game for the community, and I found Runescape lacking.

I'm sorry for the rant... I just really hate that game (or rather 95% of the people that play it).

I love runescape especially being a member that's really fun. Alot of little kids pretending to be an adult just because their character looks like one, but apart from that its really fun.

I played it for a year or so and thought it was very well done with fun and interesting quest, quests being my favourite part of the game. But because of my friends quiting and my tolerance for the grind getting less I quite too, I have thought of going back a few time but when I think of it the answer is always no.

It was cool for a while. Then I realized:

Hey, I can't ever hope to compete with the paying community, who hopelessly outclass me!

That was the day I quit. Free players just kept getting the shaft... while the payers got new stuff on a constant basis.
