Poll: Rushing and you

I wouldn't call rushing a good or bad tactic. It's like any other tactic, it has it's flaws and it's benefits.

You might catch an opponent off-guard, especially if they've gone for cash-grab tactics (gather resources as fast as possible), rather than a more rounded defensive approach, but then again if they repel your rush there's a good chance you've been neglecting your base too, and a counter-attack has a high chance of devastating you.

Well, it's part of the game, so whining about it is basically a waste of time, cause it's not like people are gonna play by a set of made-up rules, cause you dislike the strategy they're using.

Agree to above quote. I'd like to add though, real war is hell, there is no code of honor in a real war. If your honestly taking a video game that seriously, perhaps you should think of it like that rather than your misguided since of "honor." Also, I'd like to add another one of my strategies to the list. Rush their base, destroy their engineering units as soon as they spawn and also blow up the units that up their unit cap number, till their drained completely of resources. When done surround them with your army but do not attack, hold their base hostage till they surrender. Have a nice day XD

Just quickly overpowering the enemy without giving them a chance to build up and having a big epic battle together is no fun.

The dick moves are always a favorite when someone takes the game too seriously. Never forget, it is just a game, there to amuse not to incite rage.

I tank rush in Advance Wars. What works works and what doesn't work potentially leaves me screwed. If someone has the balls to go all in, I'd say that's worthy of respect, or at least unworthy of your ire.
