I'm afraid of you now.Erana said:Murderers, 'cause they're real.
I just found out that someone I was an aquaintance with was kidnapped, raped repeatedly, tortured, and dumped alive into a trash can.
And I also knew someone who lived with one of the killers.
*gives fate the finger*
Gotta love when someone is able to prove their opinion mathematicallymanaman said:Zombies you can kill, and would remain relatively unharmed in a suit of armor, or a car, or a house with boarded up windows, a boat, or you know a large field full of fluffy bunnies.
Mutants, yeah I can see this, but they are still flesh and blood. Depends on the size really, loads of tiny dog sized killing machines. Give me a shotgun. Slightly larger man sized killing machines, might take a bit better aim, and using a handgun but do able. Giant building sized monster - just avoid being near it, not hard to miss. Man sized monster bent on eating people that is intelligent, that maybe something to fear a bit.
Dolls, Chuckie is about the best they could come up with, and even then he had to be some dead dude who stuck his soul in a doll. More of a vengeful spirit kinda thing.
Clowns would have to have some stupid gimmick, and really the bright outfit and paint job does not really lend itself well to being sneaky. I am also pretty sure I could outrun anything with some ridiculously large shoes on.
A murder is just a man, other people are not something to fear.
Aliens. Ugly intelligent bastards with no care for the sanctity of life. Good thing they are typically little malformed gray bastards. I think anything other then intelligent life would just fall under the monster category.
That just leaves ghosts, which have the most possibility to be frighting of the lot. You can do nothing about them. Nothing to protect your self they are ethereal move through walls, able to take over bodies. The traditional ghost is able to vaguely interact with people and objects but they can do nothing to fight them off, aside from burning bodies or something.
So I have to roll with this. Don't think about their abilities, think about the presence they got. Uah.Grayjack72 said:Porcelain Dolls. I HATE Porcelain Dolls. I feel like they are following you with their eyes.
I was thinking partly of The Ring when I added the ghost option, so I'll have to pretend I was planning for this when I made the poll.Fightgarr said:You've forgotten the ever-popular scary little girl with mysterious "kill you" powers. Or does that fit into a vengeful ghost. They sort of exploded out of all horrors' pores after Samara Morgan from The Ring. Its pretty much parroted by every "psychological horror" film in the last 5 years and is even ripped off in the games industry with characters like Alma from FEAR and even the Little Sisters from Bioshock. I think they deserve at least a mention.
And yeah... they scare the piss out of me.
the sarcastic, paranoid one usually survives along with the female lead character, I'm more worried about myself, I'm the one likely to say that its all in your head, before BAM, I get the Shock killsky14kemea said:good point...Vrex360 said:A vengeful ghost, especially ones like the grudge because they can just pop up anywhere and do anything. You can open the kitchen cupboard and BOOM there's the ghost face. Stuff like that scares the crap outta me... or it would if I could still feel fear but after my juvenile trauma thats one emotion that has died forever.
crap im scared of everything on that list, i'd probably be the first to go aswell
actually that depends, how long does the sarcastic, paranoid one usually last?
then yaay, there's hope for me! =DtheStrachan said:the sarcastic, paranoid one usually survives along with the female lead character, I'm more worried about myself, I'm the one likely to say that its all in your head, before BAM, I get the Shock killsky14kemea said:good point...Vrex360 said:A vengeful ghost, especially ones like the grudge because they can just pop up anywhere and do anything.
