Fair enough. One Hit Noob said:Then again, if you threw the boy to the ground, he would only try to get up. Besides, the boy deserved a spanking.kinggamecat said:When the kid kicked the guard that at least here could cause the kid to be charged with assault, and I think what the guards did was acceptable, but using that stick thing to lash his ars maaaay have been a bit too rough, but I think the the kid deserved everything up to that point.
Okay then. What should he have done?doublenix said:Sorry, the kid might have been harassing the guard, but the guard is an adult. There's no way he should used that much force on a kid. If the same thing happened to my child, regardless what happened prior, then I'd be going after the guard and his company with an army of lawyers.
You're right, there's no way 12 year olds can be violent, they're all playing with their action men figures.AndyFromMonday said:He's 12. Think about that for a moment.Shycte said:And what if the kid is violent?... Like in this case?...AndyFromMonday said:I'm sorry but last time I checked, 12 year old's aren't adults and treating them like adults is fucking stupid and borders on actual abuse.
At least you're honest about it. That's the 1st step.Shycte said:I sneak up behind and eat them right after my private army of guards have kicked their asses.M920CAIN said:You'll have to be more explicit than that... you must be that clown from the movie who eats kids right? go figure...Shycte said:Are you that Bill O'Reilly guy?M920CAIN said:The people who voted Yes on this are idiots... but idiots have a right to their opinion so I can respect that... Basic story is that the kids were doing some dangerous shit with the trains, they were sitting between the trailers or something. They weren't supposed to do that anyway, so the guards came, they resisted and well, you can see the rest.Nuclear_Suspect said:I see nothing wrong in the guards behaviour.
In the first half the guard has his arm under the kids arm (Probably because the kid resisted before the video started) halfway through the kid attempts to push the guard away with his leg so the guard lays him down, the friends try to swarm in so he draws his baton which defuses the entire situation making everyone step back.
From there its just a lot of sweedish yelling (Not really sure what they're saying) and at one point the video shows another person sitting on the ground with a guard nearby.
So what really happened OP? Any input?
You may as well differentiate between "spanking" and "beating", if only to avoid accidental strawman arguments.Ralphfromdk said:Parents really need to beat their kids more these days.
And no, I'm not talking about child abuse.
There's a difference between beating some sense into kids for being stupid, and just doing it for the hell of it. Some kids could really use some "tough" love.
I can tell you what they did, they were riding the train between the trailers or something like that. So the security guards came in and stopped them before Darwin came and ate them. The kids did not respond well to the guards trying to save their lifes and the rest is history.Zulnam said:It's shocking how many people say the guard was right. Am I missing something here? Are you all swedes and the guard was detaining him for illegal possession of cocaine? How the hell do you fellas know what happened? This could be a very simple scenario:
Kid's just standing there, all smug, maybe leaned on the window or something, with his friends. Guards come by. Tell him to stop leaning on the window. The kid tells them that there is no sign indicating that such an action is restricted and he will continue to lean. Guards tell him again. Kid refuses. Guards take out handcuffs and cuff him.
And even if he did go into the guard's face and said "FUCK YOU" he should be trained not to respond to a minor's taunting unless the minor becomes directly violent? What did the kid do? Kick him? SERIOUSLY?! He barely pushed him with his leg. That's like saying you have the right to invade an entire country because some asshole might at some point threaten your country at some point with shit he doesn't even have now.
Of course, you're right. How dare people try to show children what consequences are. We should just send them to their room and take away their Xbox, computer, smart phone, books, toys, etc. ad nauseam so they can lay on the bed and stew about how stupid and unfair we are. That'll drive the lesson home so much better than a little pain and public humiliation.AndyFromMonday said:If you actually believe violence is the proper tool for instilling certain values in children then congratulations, you're going to be an unfit parent.
Now I feel offended, I have never mentioned the words common sense. But obviously you want this attention since you made a post about you leaving the thread.AndyFromMonday said:I was going to reply and start doing the whole "back and forth" thing like I usually do when I want to start a discussion but then I realized I'd just be wasting my time since you people obviously don't want to hear what I have to say, you only want to hear what you have to say. So, in the interest of "common sense" and security guards defending themselves from drug addicted, knife wielding, twelve year old criminals, I bid you farewell.
