i think you should be a gentleman to everyone. why just women? hold a door open for anyone and anyone should hold a door open for you. things need to work both ways. similarly no woman should slap a man and no man should hit a woman, and hitting a woman should have no more stigma than hitting a man, its all unacceptable and i personally would have no problem with hitting a girl if she slapped me first. in short, being a gentleman isn't sexist, but it is outdated.

If there's a people behind me when I go through a door, I'll hold it for a bit - only common sense if you're not in a rush. If someone tries to hit me, I'll punch them in the face and aim to make 'em lose some teeth. If someone puts up fireman posters at work, I have posters chicks in bikinis for the guys in my backpack pretty much 24/7 (this got me a bollocking - the boss was a woman...). If making a point involves a cuff round the back of the head, it'll happen. If you're standing in front of me when I need to insult something, you'll be insulted.

I really, really don't care if someone is a woman, black, gay or whatever, I'm gonna exercise my rights to treat everyone exactly the same.

I'm one of those guys who holds open doors, most of the time. We make the world a better place, the origional idea was not because women can't open doors themselves, but just that a chivalrous male could do it for her. I think it's how I was brought up...

I love being a gentlemen you know smacking a chick on her ass and saying, "Hey Fatty get me a beer and hurry the fuck up before it warms up."

I hold doors open for ladies, but then I tend to hold them open for anyone. Similarly, I don't tend to hit people at all (though I do hit back on the rare occasions that I need to, and then I don't care if the attacker's male or female).

So yeah, being polite is just polite, not sexist. And anyone who says otherwise is a-

Oh yeah. Forgot about that "politeness" thing. ;-)

Not really sexist, unless you look down on them as lesser beings. I mean, I could hit a girl depending on the situation. If she tries to kick me in the go-nads, I'm going to knock a woman out.

I dunno.

I am sexist in the jokey sort of way and my girlfriend and other friends who are girls don't really mind at all.

I have a small dose of chivalry in me... I would never hit a girl without an extremely serious reason and as for being a gentleman, I believe that it makes you superior to all the other assholes that infest this planet.

..hard to say it's like being a gentlemen isn't sexist but, saying all men are gentlemen (which we aren't) is sexist

The person who first came up with the idea of political correctness should be Tarred and feathered, set on fire, thrown off a bridge, shot in the testicles/ovaries, hung till near dead, drawn, and quartered.

I try to be a gentleman, because the woman I'm with deserves to be treated like a goddess.
If she finds that sexist, then fine. Walk home then.

this is a very touchy subject, I help both men and women as much as possible. Yet, the best person to ask would be a women.
