I don't know exactly why, but even though her face doesn't emote quite the same way and it looks more artificial than a default Shepard, I really feel better about playing Femshepard. Maybe it's because, as Freud would say, my inner self lacks a penis, though I doubt this as my conscious self is, if not quite happy to have one, at least satisfied with the status quo (as opposed to having gender disassociative disorder).
Almost universally, Paragon Femshepard sounds more sympathetic to me, and Renegade Femshepard sounds more like an action hero character and less like a simple jerk.
One theory I've been rolling around in my head, and I'm sure feminists would agree with me here, is that our expectations for female characters are different for male characters. A female badass has a different impact on the audience, due to an implicit bias that most if not all of us carry, than does a male badass. And my preferences apparently lie with the female badass. Or could it be because I'm subconsciously seeing her as a sex object and a male Shepard threatens me? If so it is -quite- subconsious, as I mentally desexualized my Femshepard so much that when she started flirting with Liara in the first game it seemed a bit combo-breaking to me.
Feminism is confusing sometimes.
