Shotgun, I'm the god of CQC. I always thought snipers were too scared to get up in the shit with everybody else. Plus, if a sniper DOES actually kill me, he's probably thinking to himself, "OMGLULZ, I is so gud at dis game!" I am talking about in-game snipers, of course, real-life snipers are badass.

Well, I like the shotgun more...I just wish they'd actually make them like shotguns in real life. After 40 yards, than its reasonable that someone isn't going to be affected as much by the pellets, but god damn...anything within that range is gonna be hurting (as far as video games should be concerned that is). They are just to underpowered in nearly all games. The only game that I think has done it right is Left4Dead. I haven't really encountered many other shotguns that I actually picked up for the firepower. I usually use them for the cool factor.
Oh and Max Payne did them right. God, I want to play that game again...

It's really based on your preferences and where you're fighting
But I gotta say I love the shotgun. It's got a nice "boom", and the usual resulting storm of flying body parts is just oh so satisfying. 'Specially love the AA12, but there's no chance in hell any game is going to use it, because it's just so damn scary.

Sniper rifles are my thing (didnt think you could guess......) but in reality if nething bad happened im holeing up in the nearest military base with 2 automatic shotguns and a minefield surrounding the base......
Really depends on the situation. If I'm 3 feet away I want a shotgun, if I'm 3000 I want a sniper.
what few people know is the trouble snipers go thru,
when your a normal solider, you just shoot and hit your target,
when your a sniper, you see every folical of hair on the man whos life your a bout to take's head, what im saying is,
you see them, you see them always, you know there faces all to well and those faces never stop haunting you,
snipers have diffrent ways of coping after battle, some drink themselves stupid, others cry themselves to sleep, but always are still haunted by those lives they have obliterated from this earth

Snipers are so much more, when it comes to weaponary, shotgunners are the sucide guys, snipers are the experts on elimation (apart from them gits who give sniping a bad name).
