I despise violent children, so I'd probably attack them in turn, which is immensely productive.

I remember someone here saying 5 year olds don't understand empathy or something like that. I wouldn't rightly know if that's true, but if so...

However, I also don't like skateboarders much...

5 year olds beating up a 12 year old? He derserves it for being too much of a wuss to get up and beat them down himself (assuming he didn't break anything). Besides, it was a skater punk. Skateboards haven't been cool in years, so he also deserves it for being so far behind the times.

Being serious now, I wouldn't have done anything either so who am I to judge? How many here would have actually done something? It is easy to say you would do something after the fact, but not so easy to actually back up your words. Just like if I say I saw someone get robbed at gunpoint. Many would say they would have tried to stop the mugger, but no one really would.
But these are five year olds, they shouldn't have guns or knives, so it's pretty damn easy to back up your words here. Just tell them to stop and threaten to phone the police to make them leave, ask if the kid on the skatboard is okay and help him with the injuries he sustained or get him to someone who can.

Just give it the title: attack of the ninja midgets!
Ot: No, I wouldn't laugh at it and probably yelled the sh!t out of those little bastards and help the poor kid. But maybe he stole the skateboard and thought he could get away with it, now this would be a different story.

Do what I do when I see an unfair fight.

Pick the losing side! ^_^

Yeah you get your a** beat a lot, but cmon... the situation is unequal, everyone deserves a shot at an even keel.

It is less about how they are armed, and more about simple indifference. People these days don't go out of their way to help other people because thy are indifferent. If your car breaks down on the side of the road, 90% of people will drive by without a second look. They say to themselves, "sucks to be them," and continue on their merry way. This same attitude goes for most any situation involving a stranger needing help, like the skater kid being beat down by 5 year olds. Since it doesn't effect us or anyone we know, we don't care. If it was a friend in trouble, then we would act. If it isn't, we don't.

I don't think he was randomly kicked, I think they just pushed him over when he was trying to get away. Regardless, I would have gotten a blunt object.

Silently approaching one of them and beating him in the side of the head with no expression usually suggests that it's a good idea for them to run.

It would have been more funny if you were to then beat the 5 year old up.You know,if your story was true.Which it's not,at least not until some evidence is provided.
