No. It's not because I have issues with a female protagonist or that I see Link as a badass masculine man. It's because I don't see a point. Whenever someone asks me if I want a female protagonist or a gay protagonist my answer is always the same. If it's not relevant to the plot or necessary to make the game work I don't see a reason for it.
Now Link could be a lesbian girl and I wouldn't really give a fuck about it. However I would want those two things to actually be of any relevance or I would treat it as a matter of trying to cash in points for being diverse and tolerant.
