Okay, so I only got two and a half pages in, but this is all -very- similar hatred-for-your-fellow man type stuff.
Child molestation isn't legal, we've established that. Being attracted to younger/underage people is legal but unpopular - we've established that too.
I wonder what people think is worse, child molestation or genocide. Pol Pot essentially offed 2.5 million people and got house arrest. Hitler shot himself, a lot of people let him get on with it for rather a while. Mull that one over, I believe it lends a little bit of perspective to things.
This is one of those topics where the overwhelming zeitgeist kicks in at the start, and whilst maybe not intentionally a mass flame war/zero-intellect argument, will always end up that way.
People have strong feelings about the innocence of children, even when teen/young pregnancies are on the up (which would suggest that children aren't so innocent, wouldn't it?) and that gets triggered instantly, resulting in a 'burn the witch' mob.
Before anyone gets too angry and thinks I'm suggesting that sexually active children are 'asking for it', I'm not. Relax.
Go away, if you want an ultra-simple look into things, read Lolita. Give a thought to how you'd feel if someone in your family - male or female, admitted to you that they had abused someone - would you stab at their groin with a kitchen knife? Now ask yourself that again and don't lie to yourself, just to be sure.
It's difficult, but this one takes a hell of a lot of effort for people to swallow the blind hate and come back with a slightly more informed opinion.
