I agree that Sega should stop making Sonic games. However, I still believe that the series can make a comeback if Nintendo gets a hold of it.

I have a great idea.

Do what Capcom did. Revival of Sonic via a classic graphical downgrade at the benefit of a fun upgrade.

As I've said before, just let Nintendo have the franchise and merge the two companies.

If he won't die with dignity, then let Nintendo have a try.

Sonic should be saved. They can't leave the poor guy as he is right now. They need to change what they're doing.

I voted no, they shouldn't stop making sonic games, they should stop making GAMES in general. I don't think sega has pooped out anything good SINCE the last good sonic game which was Oh, like 2002.(please correct me if I'm wrong I just can't think of anyting)

I thought perhaps things were looking up with Sonic Rush and its sequel. It still had a few bottomless pits (in a Sonic game, quality is inversely proportional to the number of bottomless pits per level), but I really enjoyed them and want to see more of that, since it's closer to the original genesis games.

Seriously, Sega. Moar of that.

Here's the reason I didn't count that in the last good game column
It was good but It wouold have been better if it wasn't one of those side games introducing new characters and if it had a really good plot because personally I loved that game.

True, true, but I personally didn't mind Blaze. She had good gameplay and it didn't feel like I was playing the same thing over again. I still take the originals over Rush and Rush Adventure, but I'll put them in my DS because I want to play them.
If I put Shadow in my PS2, I do it for comparison before I call another game 'bad.'

They could make another basic 2D sidescrolling platformer and sell it for five bucks on XBL and I bet it would do great.

Uh, Medieval II? It's not exactly a long list, sure, but they still have a bit of life left in them. They just need to abandon the Asian markets because Japan is basically one gigantic Nintendo fanboy.

Why? So they could hammer it into the ground with endless, identical remakes every year until the end of time?

Wait, yeah, you're right, Nintendo fans would buy that shit no matter HOW bad it was.

Oh my god yes please. Sonic is such a pitiful thing now, it makes me sad. I used to love old sonic. I mean c'mon, let it die. I actually had to look twice to see a recent title. Sonic and the Black Knight. WTF! Sonic had a goddamn sword! It was literally the most sad excuse for a sequel to a Sonic game I have every seen.

EDIT:

Man STFU. Don't insult people who play Nintendo just because you don't. I agree, if Nintendo got it they would probably pump out a few probably horrible games, but that gives you no right to say people would buy it like shit. I am a Nintendo fan, and that doesn't give me a right to say that about the people who play xbox or ps1,2&3.

Yes but just because you have all the means to rob somebody doesn;t exactly mean you SHOULD.
Eventually th stupid kids hwo buy this crap will figure out to stop buying it and sega will die a slow(sonic pun intended) painful death.
