This man is called Jon Blyth, above is a link to a video on YouTube he did for IGN, he has done around eight of these, and, personally, I think he is very funny. Now these were done a while back so he is probably not in the employment of IGN, a is a freelance journalist. So my question is... do you think there is a place in the Escapist family for another, albeit more light hearted, Anglo-Saxon?

EDIT: I thought I might also link to some more of his works here:

Some More Articles: http://www.guardian.co.uk/profile/jon-blyth

And Another Article For Good Measure: http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/106/1065405p1.html

This isn't all his works, but its enough to be doing with.

He's better than Jim Sterling.
Indeed he is. With a lot better language as well.
So yeah, bring him in is what i say.
He could have a nice little corner to vent off on stuff once a week.

I thought you guys were done wrongfully hating on Jim Sterling.
Nothing wrong about it, it's terrible.

OT: No, cos the youtube video had an advert on it and I'm fickle like that. Seriously though, didn't watch past the advert, it's late here and the sound is disproportionately loud.

Seeing as he's done work for IGN he doesn't deserve a proper job in the gaming industry
Well... you need to do something to feed the kids, or his dog.

I like this guy. He pokes fun at the typical media of the US in the 1950s while explaining games in a hilarious way. I'm not sure if having him and Yahtzee would be a good idea, but I'm sure the two could work it out (maybe even collaborate, if they don't find each other too annoying).

He also did a short series for VideoJug about geek guides, and some written articles for other outlets

Wait, did he actually talk about Pokemon at one point? Too many flashy images!

All I can say is 70s' educational videos have lost a great narrator. I'd love to hear more from that guy with spots such as "Swine flu: the non-lethal killer" and "Learn to make friends, Lice-Larry!".

Well, the video was amusing enough (if mainly for the footage of the fat man collapsing off the DDR machine), but as to your question I think The Escapist really has enough of this type of series now. Any more, would just seem like oversaturation, if you ask me.

Sterling > lisa iles. I watched some episodes, I just didnt see what she had to offer and why people watched.
Why can't both Lisa and Jim be horrible?

I thought this was really interesting and it actually got a chuckle out of me, which is a lot more than I can say about a bunch of the new shows that have suddenly popped up (Jimquisition, Pro Gamer Gauntlet, Drinking Games, No Right Answer).

As much as this guy might fit in, though, I don't think it'd be a good idea to introduce ANOTHER new show on to the site.

No, he didn't. It's a poor show to be honest and nothing about it seemed remotely decent. It was just random waffling in order to make its over exaggeration funny.
