I would love to see Valve create Team Fortress 3, Team Fortress is a Rare online game that is "FUN" and if they don't spend as much time creating Team fortress 3 like they did on Team fortress 2 (that took at least 8 years) It'll be awesome

They should, but a long time from now. Half-life 2 Episode 3 is more important, and TF2 isn't that old and still generating a good profit.

And I think they should spend as much time on it, that's what made it so balanced and fun, the amount of time spent on it.

Eventually, but not now. Still getting used to all the new shit they have thrown at TF2.

Give it another 8 years, bleed L4D if you need to, ill happily sacrifice it for TF2.

It's Valve we're talkng about. They are making Left 4 Dead 2 alredy (which is great IMO) so TF3 isn't a problem.

I would much rather see DLC and more maps for the Xbox 360 as the filthy console gamer I am.

And welcome to the Escapist. Now with 80 % less fanboyism and trolling.

Watch out for Max, he bites....

In the long term yes, but certainly not within the next 4 years. Team Fortress 2 has a time-less style about it so graphics aren't an issue (in fact I love the style more than some very detailed games). As long as TF2 gets some updates now and again it will keep and strong community for many years to come.

Oh and Team Fortress one was Team Fortress Classic (hence no TF1).

Nope, TF2 is good and people are still buying it
While TF2 is still going strong, I think that they should really throw us console users a bone and give us some freakin DLC already.

They have only done that once though, they do usually take "Valve time" over a product.

I think an add-on pack would not hurt, introduce some new elements and maybe a new class. But there but a lot of people still don't have machines mighty enough to run TF2 so I'd say hang on at least a year and milk us some more.

Keep updating TF2.

Counter Strike and Day of Defeat (the Source ones) are still great, no sign of a sequel there.

As long as the updates keep coming and the community keeps modding there is no need for a TF3, nor will there be for a long time.

Yes I would love to see a revamp but I don't know how they could without an engine upgrade to make it next gen. Besides, they will milk it for a while still, its fun and looks good. And lastly, I hope they wait a while, I am finishing up a series for Noesis on how to make maps in TF2, and I still have a little bit to do to finish the first disc ;/

Once again, according to Valve, Valve developers get to decide what projects they're working on. So whether TF3 or L4D2 or Portal-16 is being developed has zero effect on HL2 ep.3.
Really they get to decide? That makes so much more sense. I bet the developers love that, when they get pissed off at one game, go work on another. No wonder all Valve Games in the same generation use the same engine.

But I'm sticking with my stance: they should keep TF2 and just work on updates, before getting to TF3.

What's the point in making Team Fortress 3 when there's so still so much people playing Team Fortress 2?
