I thought it was running on the same engine as Rage. If it is, I wouldn't worry about stability -- system requirements, maybe, but not stability.
I thought Ocam's razor was an Oblivion weapon... Or was it Mehrune's razor? I don't know, damn you DLC-less PS3 version.Kaymish said:well all of the bethesda games i have played have been perfectly stable for me just the ai does stupid crap like the brother hood of steel knight turned up when i didnt blow up megaton and stole my unique plasma rifle i had to find and kill him with ocams razor
or there have been minor bugs and there have been too many over the years to list even a stand out one
Your poll doesn't have an option for game breaking bugs at all. That's what I want to vote for I never had any real problems with any of the Bethesda games, not even New Vegas008Zulu said:Anyone who is familiar with the works of Bethesda should know by know just how unstable their products have been. Considering that each new game is built upon the reconditioned engine of the previous title, it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to think that Skyrim will be as bad (maybe worse) in the terms of stability.
Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas all built off slightly altered versions of the same engine. Since Skyrim is using a further modification of the Gamebryo engine, its a safe bet it will have it's fair share of problems come launch day.
Mehrune's razor is an oblivion weapon, Ocam's razor is the thought that the simplest explaination is probably trueLiudeius said:I was under the impression that they had created an entirely new engine. There was some questioning of that due to one staff member saying otherwise, but I thought that was resolved and it was decided that it was entirely new.
Either way, a Bethesda game is going to be full of glitches. Even if they, through some miracle, manage to keep the quests from becoming incompletable, with a game world that big, there are bound to be numerous mistakes.

They rebuilt the whole engine for skyrim, from scratch. they have said this multiple times. Also, I never noticed any probs with oblivion or morrowind.008Zulu said:Anyone who is familiar with the works of Bethesda should know by know just how unstable their products have been.
