I will do as I always do in a TES game, and that is to become a jack of all spades. Slinging fireballes and donning heavy armor, while swinging a weapon and shield of some sort.

Because of that, I will probably go breton, as they get +50 to magicka.

I have not checked or heard how exactly they are handling things this time around. If there is a reason to focus on magic over melee(and vice versa) then I might reconsider. So far, all of the TES games allowed and in fact gave no reason not to be a jack of all spades.

Nord for my first play through the game just because it's in Skyrim. Orc for my second play through most likely.

Ever since I found myself as an Argonian in Balmora for the first time, I look forward to playing for the lizard guys every time I start up in an Elder Scrolls game!

Of course, I'm intending to give the Khajiit a go after I've tired of the new Argonian models because they look pretty awesome as well.

Nord first, then Dumner. Then maybe argonian if I'm not bored for a third playthrough.

I gotta say, the creation engine looks suspiciously like the Gamebryo....

I used to have an affinity for Argonians, but playing through the Elder Scrolls series recently has helped me develop an affection for female dark elves, hopefully I can make it prettier than the presets.

Either Dunmer or Bosmer, I think Dunmers are really cool and bad-ass, but I want to be a marksman, so from the list Bosmer seems most suited to that.

Perhaps one of each, a female Bosmer marksman, and I'll make the Dunmer into some sort of evil-badass.

Everytime I look at this thread I hear 'Gotta make my mind up which race will I pick?'

argh damn you Rebecca! D:.

I really can't decide between a Nord and Bosmer I might have to flip a coin in the end.

Probably Redguard first.
In canon, the dragonborn is supposed to be Nord or Breton ((Skyrim being the land of the Nords)). And i like my first play through to be close to canon, so i get the most out of the story. So i'll be the big angry black guy with a mace. ((Just like at the Renaissance Fair :D))

Second play through, probably Dunmer. It was the first race i every played as in a TES game. ((Being Daggerfall)) I'll probably play it as a treasure hunter. Going for healing, destruction and Blades, to make the most out of dungeon diving. I like to try and find ALL of the Enchanted and one-of-a-kind weapons and armor on my second play through. After i think ive found it all, i form a list of my plunder, and have my friend look online and tell me how many im missing. ((So i cant read about them ahead of time and learn where they are))

My third playthrough will be Khajiit. I'll play it sneaky, get some of the most amazing gear at the beginning of the game, and murder everyone who crosses my path. Just as they intended :D ((loljk))

Nord, purely based on looks and the fact that he's human. I think a hero tale should best be left to a human because elves are expected of it.

I like the Vikingess appeal of him too, and he seems to not give a shit about anything other than killing dragons.

Also, he shall be the distant ancestor of my last vibrantly green haired Nord.

Probably a Nord. I tend to play my first play through to the majority race. So Oblivion was Imperial, Morrowind was Dark Elf, so Nord most likely.

None, I wont be buying Skyrim. Oblivion bored me to tears, and I'm expecting more of the same. So sorry. Elder Scrolls wont be getting my money.

Racist (to Khajits), sword wieldin', bow wieldin', light armoured, lock pickin', sneakin' badass Argonian! (I've started a dynasty with Morrowind, though trying to figure out what skills to drop in Oblivion, what with less pickable skills and all, lockpicking is a given and I reckon' bows could go as well.)

I've spent time thinking this through
Breton-Battlemage-More focus on mage than battle
Bosmer-Assassin
Redguard-Warrior- Light and quick
Nord-Warrior-Slow and powerful
Imperial- Baird- Speech and sword

Berserkery Redguard first, Assassiny Dunmer second, Magey Breton third. And probably a Tanky Imperial fourth.

While I have never shown interest in the Elder Scrolls, if I do end up playing it then it will be Argonian.

Because lizard people are amazing.

I don't know! I really want to play a Nord because I traditionally go magic or sneaky (or both).
But at the same time, I usually go magic or sneaky or both.

Argonian.

And I already have his name picked out...

Will he be an archer?

I'll be playing a Dunmer as usual.
Good all round race means I can preview many aspects of play in my first playthrough.

I'll be playing a Wood Elf/Bosmer. I always play the stealthy assassin type of character, and I don't really like getting close to enemies, so it's the natural choice.

I'll just see how the character creator works out. I think I'll probably be Imperial or Bosmer. In Oblivion I liked Imperials because they felt balanced for me, but I always liked archery, so maybe a Bosmer will be a good idea.
