I just think it's badass.
Nothing better than an over muscled man with a buzz cut a cigar in his mouth combat boots camo shirt and a mini gun. Thats badass xP
That description reminds me of the commander from Avatar. :D

But I was thinking in a more subtle kind of way, like dousing a hospital with gasoline and than igniting it with your lit cigarette, because nothing says subtle like explosions.

I hate smoking. I cant stand the smell. I usually leave the room when someone is smoking. I even managed to convince my very stubborn dad to stop smoking in the house.

As long as they smoke outside and don't blow the smoke in my face or anything it's fine. Not "attractive" but not really "disgusting" either. I would prefer that people didn't smoke though due to the health problems/smell and all that what not though :/.

I smoke myself but I can't say I find a person more attractive if they smoke or not.

*waits quietly for the incoming attack on smoking... oh wait!*
Yeah, I have to admit I'm surprised at how big the majority against smoking is, and how opinionated said majority is. One could say the smokers are getting *dons sunglasses* smoked.

...I'll leave now.

I've been having weird cravings for cigarettes the past few weeks, even though I hate the taste of them (tastes like coffee creamer, ON FIRE! :D) I don't like kissing a person that is currently smoking or has just finished smoking, but I say the same about someone who has just eaten a chocolate cake/doughnut/ice cream.

The smoke doesn't really bother me if it not going in my face and is been sucked away by air and if people don't blow it in my face. I also wouldn't take smoking into someone's attractiveness, but I don't think it adds to it either.

I'm not a fan. I'm usually indifferent towards smokers and I don't mind the smell of it wafting through the night air, but it's not a habit I'll pick up. It's sad that some people feel they need things to relieve stress that will probably backfire on them, like cigarettes and junk food. I don't find that attractive.

My uncle smoked too much and died of throat cancer, just a little anecdote that illustrates that there's a bit of truth to those dramatic warnings you see.

I'd be a lot more likely to get in a relationship with a smoker, they tend to be down to earth and not have a pseudo high ground that they preach to people.
I second this, almost every anti-anything person seems to have a stick up their ass. Another thing about smoking it may not give you any benifts(besides reducing the chance of parksons) but neither do video games or junk food. Its just very relaxing.

It depends. A girl ruthlessly smoking out of habit while scoffing down her lunch isn't really what I'd call attractive, and it disgusts me when they smoke "cause it's so cool".

On the other hand, smoking in the right atmosphere, like a lounge or something, can give the right girl another delightful nuance :D

btw, I myself do smoke pipes, but only a)when I'm alone and I don't have to meet non-smokers for the next hour or so, or b) with other smokers, again, only if I don't offend the non-smokers afterwards :) Well yes, I AM very thoughtful :p

I just love my pipe.

I also love the taste of nicotine as the contents of said pipe slowly pollutes my insides. God is it sexy.

(In case you thought otherwise, no I don't find it all that attractive.)

*can* be attractive. Usually isn't.

I doubt I could seriously date someone who smoked like a chimney, but I could definitely sleep with one of them >.>

Smoking killed two of my grandparents, my godfather, and gave my godmother lung cancer. I hate it.

The only reason I can think of for people to smoke is the addiction. Possibly the emotional boost makes sure they can't beat the addiction. So is there any real difference between shooting cocaine and smoking?

  • [li]They both have no real benefit (boosting your emotions doesn't count - everyone lays into the fat people for eating comfort food and the alcoholics for boozing it up, so why not smoking?). Alcohol even has medical benefits in appropriate amounts (e.g. red wine).[/li]
[li]They both have significant problems - they're addictive and they adversely affect your health.[/li]
[li]Cocaine is illegal and smoking isn't... but you have to wonder whether smoking WOULD be legal if it was only getting invented today, and didn't have a historical precedent.[/li]
[li]They both cost tons of money... money which could often be spent on better things! My mom had to grow vegetables and work in the store as a teen to make sure there was food available, because my grandparents would smoke whether there was money for food or not![/li]
[li]They both have potential adverse effects on those around you... who do not share your habits and still have to suffer for 'em.[/li]
Personally, I think it should be banned just like any other non-medicinal drug. But the cigarette companies make enough 'donations' to the politicians to ensure that'll never happen.

I think the ACT of smoking is attractive. Old hollywood films and other things where sexy people smoked. It's sorta carved into my brain.

However the RESULTS of smoking are very unnappealing.

Ever kissed a smoker soon after they've had a smoke? I did once, huge turn off ever since then.

Smoking is a completely repulsive habit, and if it was harmless I would still be opposed to it as it freaking reeks. The bit where it's horrible for you and makes you smell horrible just makes it worse.

I gotta say that any form of smoking isn't exactly meant for aesthetic purposes....buuuut really my opinion depends on what one smokes....hehe
