I myself never make myself some but take it when offered. Lots of sugar and a bit of milk. My father and mother on the other hand... drink it like other people water.

Can I ask a question?

Can I love you and add you to my friend list? There's so much win in that post.
Fire away, although there is an extra fee for the lovin'. You know, a man has to support himself by any means necessary.

Coincidently, I think I'm going to try some coffee tonight. Just for kicks.

it's okay. I drink it when I have to get up at one in the morning and have to stay up, but besides that, I don't drink it.

I love coffee and caffeine in general. I tend to rate the strength of coffee in rads, and I've got a brew I call "Vault 87 Entrance" that is made as follows:

- Take cafe robusto beans
- Roast them to "light city", also known as "light cinnamon" roast to preserve as much of the caffeine as possible.
- Use an espresso grind and pack it like brown sugar into the coffee filter.
- Brew using standard drip method.
- Warning: This shit's gonna be more bitter than a divorced guy whose ex-wife got everything. Sugar the fuck out of it; even Chuck Norris couldn't drink this shit black.
- Bounce off the walls for the rest of the day.

What about Coffee? We've had many threads about beverages and such, but I've never heard about coffee here on the Escapist.

It's really a very cool drink, it's been shown to reduce the risk of Type 2 Diabetes and some forms of Cancers, and can keep you on your toes for several hours in the wee morning.

Coffee is also very versatile, it can be drunk hot, cold, iced, sweet, bitter, salty (though, this is not advised), sweet with a hint of bitter, bitter with a hint of sweet, and the list goes on... Shrimp sandwiches, shrimp stew (I hope that reference gets noticed, otherwise, I'll feel pretty stupid).

What do you think about coffee?
Not really a fan of coffee. It taste pretty crummy in its "black" version, it stunts growth, and I find it causes a dependency in people to wake up if drunk regularly. Juice works just as well, and gets my digestive system in gear, making me more ready for the day than coffee.

And what about shrimp stew?
I dunno about it stunting growth, but even so, most teenagers are about as tall as they need to be by around 15-18, so how harmful could coffee really be?

The shrimp thing was a Forrest Gump reference, by the way.

Best excuse ever for drinking alcohol.

[small]Hey, it worked at my aunt's birthday party.[/small]

Anyways, I'm going to go and assume that you have Diabetes via genetics or infection?
Yup, without it we can die! <.<

Anyway no, do not have diabetes but considering type 2 can be caused by high fat diets, obesity and a sedentary lifestyle and since I am a total sugar addict as soon as I stop doing shit my high fat and sugar rich diet will cause me to get obese so I very well could get diabetes. XD
Seriously, I am talking like 4-5 teaspoons of sugar in my coffee. Or should that be 1 teaspoon of coffee in my liquid sugar...
I see, so you're at risk. Or maybe I just suck at interpreting things :p

I love coffee. Also, because I am the only person who likes it in my family, I get it all to myself :)
