Look at it like this : it gives you an excuse to start hanging out with girls

EDIT: Also get better friends, if they hate you for your opinion on a game then they're probably not worth it.

This man speaks the truth. Especially the bit about girls. Seriously, this is an easy opener into getting to know a lot of them. You shall be envied! Or considered gay. But ehh.

Oh and they're being butthurt fanboys *shrug* it happens.

To me its just another bogstandard 'nothing special about it' FPS and i really do wonder why its so popular.

all things considered its an unbalanced (less so in black ops)FPS with a shooting mechanic that works but makes you wanna take fishing hooks to your eyeballs if it laggs and the only real thing it has to rely on is the pointless 'point gun at man, man fall down lather rinse repeat' multiplayer gameplay. maby if they spent some time on the single player it might make a decent game.

IMO anyway.

Hah, don't kid yourself. If you think that what you did affected them in any way, other than thinking you're weird, then you're probably more deluded than you think.

And why do you want people to hate you?

There are COD fans at my school and they're all total cunting retards. They won't listen to reason. Whenever I argue that another games better they just say it sucks even though they've never played or heard of it. They're a minority though and as I said they're so damn stupid that I never waste my time with them.

Are your friends 10 years old or something?
Seriously listing games you've played and saying they suck, that is so childish it's unbelievable.

I personally like CoD, but I don't hate on people that don't like it. Those guys need a good slap 'round the head and a stern talking to.

You should have seen that coming. Cause the COD flame can start from just the tiniest spark if you even mention your dislike for it. But I do like COD except the first few, and MW1

I think better advice is to just ignore it. They;ll probably forget about it within a week. Then, when they mention it again, just smile and nod but don't say anything.
Unless he confronts them about it then he will continue receiving shit. Kids have memories like elephants... (or y'kno... humans) when it comes to remembering things for teasing others. It will continue until they 'grow out of it'. In his case it could be a very long time. He needs to take the bull by the horns. Even if he isn't playing the game, sitting there and being neutral to some bullshit hostility won't solve anything.
Your school must have been much brighter than mine. In my old highschool, everything no matter how terrifying or humiliating was forgotten quickly; usually when the next embarressing thing came along. If nothing like that did, then it took about a week, or a month at the most.

So I was talking with my buddies about games during class and they brought up COD, much to my dismay. I immediately said "Ugh I can't stand that game," and left it at that. Well, little did I know that an ever growing shit storm was coming my way. My friends would tell their friends that would tell their friends etc that I hated COD. Now I'm receiving messages and from people listing games from my game history and they're going "Assassin's Creed sucks, The Orange Box sucks, Sid Meier's Pirates sucks" so on and so forth. People call me retarded and lame for not liking it. Am I the one with the problem or does my school need to be purged?
while my general leaning is "purge the heretics!!" in the vain of Warhammer 40K, i'm gonna say they keep it up tell them to fuck off, poor choice of words or not they still have no right to get pissed off cause you don't like they're game, hell THEY'D HATE my ass cause i dislike FPS on the whole, would a care? no, and nether should you.

Moral of the story: Fan boys, shut the fuck up. the end - Stuttering Craig from screw attack

single-minded stubborn morons

i'd love to see their faces if i broke their COD discs and wiped their hardrive clean of their precious cod data.makes me wish i had a younger brother that was addicted to cod...

anyway everyone has their likes and dislikes, but your school needs some help if their that hung up on that game so that they hate you i mean it's another dull, repetitive shooter game.

This, people are like "No it doesn't"
Well I don't say it sucks...I just say it's over-rated and people need to understand there are other games out there, as it isn't really a bad game.
But people understand opinions are opinions..

Wanted. Past tense. Now I much prefer to receive the indifference I give out.

And actually, I was implying (very badly, mind you, as I haven't slept for a little over 30 hours now) that I got agressive with them. Not physically so, but I did confront them after letting them think up whatever weird things they wanted. Well, alright, the persona of insanity helped, but so did the fact that my school was filled with... uh... "bark is bigger than bite" kind of people. That includes me, yes, but I didn't let people know that. For most everyone else, it was known that they talked a big game, but couldn't deliver. No one had any idea about me, even thought I probably would have delivered even less than most of the big talkers.

Anyway, all I'm saying is that what people perceive to be the truth is what matters, not what actually is the truth. They perceived me as dangerous despite the fact that I'm actually not, so I was able to "convince" them to leave me alone.

Again, I was always aware that shoudl anyone find out how not-insane I am , shit would hit the fan, but by the time I had undone enough damage to have people start talking to me (12th grade) no-one cared much about the past anyway anymore because most of us were focused on getting into college. That was an interesting year, because I had no real experience interacting with people I wasn't friends with in an amicable way instead of just being totally neutral to them. Good overall experience, though. Vital, too, for college life.

Man, these are just turning into self discovery central for me. I wonder if that's because of the topics, or because I'm exhausted and sharing things I wouldn't normally admit to, even to myself. Probably the latter.

Well, either way, The Escapist; it's not just safer here, you'll learn much about yourself.

Actually, knowing me, I'll probably edit these away into something more vanilla sooner or later. Yeah, the quoted version will still exist, but it'll be less noticable.

What they did was undoubtedly stupid, but there's no denying that it's not the best idea to outright call a game with such a rabid fanbase "terrible," especially if you don't give any reasons to back up why you feel that way. Then it just sounds like trolling, or that you're just trying to sound cool because you're with the "popular things suck" crowd.

Still, if these people act in such an immature way, you really ought to consider getting new friends.

And besides, COD is definitely not terrible. Average, maybe. Overhyped, maybe. But if you can't say that you didn't have the least bit of fun from playing a COD game, then maybe you need to readjust your expectations. Terrible = Wii Party, or Imagine Horsez or something, definitely not COD.

So does the word "Fake" have an entirely different meaning where you live? Because that makes no sense at all. "Halo and WoW AREN'T REAL!!".
