I have no real preference. I've done playthroughs at all 3 karma levels. Though I suppose if I had to pick it would be very good, simply because that's what I would default to anyways. But to be honest I don't care what the karma meter says. I played a good character that had bad karma because he made raiders into slaves rather than killed them. I don't see how slavery is somehow worse than killing, but according to the game it is.
There aren't really any significant karma benefits beyond companions I think, unless you force yourself to make choices that only align to your karma level. Also Butch and Sergeant RL-3 are the neutral companions (Charon is no karma). And RL-3 is the best companion in the game. It doesn't matter to me if he isn't as strong as Fawkes. Fawkes always drones on and on about about annoying crap like fate in morality in that irritating super mutant voice, while RL-3 declares your enemies to be godless commies. Which do you think is more entertaining to travel with?peteron85 said:I think neutral is not as good, because good and evil both have benefits while neutral does not have as many. Anyway, the companions for good and evil are much better than the neutral ones in my opinion. Charon and Butch are the only neutral companions correct?
