i'v already pre-oredered it but i don't know why, from the promo videos
the voice-acting is crap, it has those crappy over-the-top special effects
and i'v been disapointed by the series ever since x-2, o yea it's also got
that awful leona lewis song as the main theme
guess it's just force of habbit and the hope that they might get it right this time around =/

looks better than the previous trailer I saw (this one showing game play) it looks OK maybe I,ll giive it a try
I already have it (wooo importing) and I loved it, not planning on buying the NA version but I will probably borrow it from my friend to play it in english. I don't see much point in buying two.
I'm really tempted. This is from a guy who has never bought a single Final Fantasy game. However I probably won't end up buying it, unless it gets some serious critical acclaim.
I've had it pre-ordered since 4th May 2007, I refuse to cancel that pre-order out of sheer principle, so yes, I'll be getting it.
No. I've played IV to XII (except XI) and Tactics. I had fun with them, but never as much as in the PS1 days. I'm older now and I have to prioritise my time better, games have to be really rewarding if I'm going to spend 50+ hours with them.
All the reviews so far suggest to me FFXIII will not be good enough for my standards now. FFs since and including IX were already forcing me to question the value I got from playing them, and FFXIII sounds like it does away with most of the redeeming features they had.
Nice graphics and funky character designs alone just don't cut it any more, but that seems far and away to be Squenix's main priority nowadays.

eeeeyeah, anyone who thinks FFXII is a political drama is completely wrong; when Matsuno himself left halfway through the game lost any chance of being coherent or even decent. Plus when Sakaguchi said he couldn't play more than an hour of it that's pretty much the word of god.
