Poll: Sould i get a PS3?

If you can afford a PS3 and you want to play the games then go ahead. Your only regret maybe would be that you have to decide whether to get CoD: MW2 for the 360 or PS3. 
If you can afford it then yea why not. I've got all 3 current gen consoles and I'd say it has the upper hand with exclusives (usually).
Plus I personally prefer the system menu and online layout, not to mention online is free.

If money is not a problem go for it. Not only will you have a sweet blu ray player and Exclusive titles for PS3. Not to mention if you xbox dies you have a backup.
If you really want; But given all its faults, I would use all that money to stockpile branston pickle for the zombie apocalypse. But seriously, A 360 might be a bit better.

OT: I really like my ps3, I don't really miss any Xbox title's and I've played all of the famous exclusives (Halo 3, GoW, Fable 2) and none of them really impressed me. Killzone 2 is average though, along with inFamous. But I have a feeling that God Of War 3 will be awesome.
Resistance 2 is excellent, and many of the multiplatform games are too, eg Bioshock and Fallout 3. So if you can, I say go for it.
i was hyped for the sony confrence this year as i truely belived they would drop the price of the PS3 but sadly no reduction..no buy
i mean its a great system just not worth twice the price of a 360 which in many ways is just as good a system
if they make the ps3 around £200 ($330) then i would buy one some of its games look sweet

i didn't know that only the 60gig was 100% backwards compatable though :S

I was hoping for a price drop too. Also, backward combatability really means nothing to me. But it doesnt make sense it wouldnt be on all of the variations of the console.Ricky 49 said:

It kinda depends how much you play online. I know that the PSN is pretty empty for quite a few games, but games like KZ2 and Resistance 2 have quite a following. The biggest reason I chose my PS3 is because Sony plans to have the PS3 last about 10 years, which is pretty decent, but I haven't heard anything about the future of the 360. Plus the PS3 seems to be picking up some steam and coming out with some solid titles which was the only complaint I had about my PS3 for the first few months I had mine.
This isnt a fanboy war thread. I just wanted to get other peoples opinions who own a PS3; or perhaps they also saw Sony's Press Conference and are feeling the same way.phps barrel roll said:
