Poll: Speed knifing in MW2

I used to knife but unlike theese people i used Ninja because of my moral standards. I mean sometimes it's fun to put on a class that dominates and go on a rampage but doing it every single game is kinda annoying. If you have ever watched Only UsemeBlade that's the kinda stuff I did, albeit not as good. MW2 is going to be MW2 but to make it a better game it would need balancing. I've played the game and know the frustration although I didn't be try hard alot but when I did the flaws really show. I did get over it but still the game is broken. Knifing without commando takes some skill but with commando it's easier and I know I've done it. I knifed for fun not try hard though and it makes the game fun by challenging yourself cause it's easy to use a RPG-7 and blow your enemy to bits and it's fun to but knifing without commando is kinda chalenging. I'm no nuke getter infact i've never got one but I know I, know MW2 is MW2 but it's still broken and I got rid of it cause it just wasn't fun anymore.
tl:dr Knifing with commando isn't challenging, without it it kinda is.

Its because of them I left (that and Noob Tubers) every time I get killed by those guys it makes me want to violently rip out their guts from their rear, then shove that knife they used on me back in there...sorry I get angry whenever I think about them

I do it on occasion, I admit (for teh lulz, obviously), but it never bothers me when others do it. Why? Four simple letters:

SPAS.

Stops knifers dead. They run at you in a straight line anyway, so if you can't win with a shotgun at close range, methinks you should revise your current strategies.

Honestly, its a paint but its something easily stopped if you have a class to combat it.

Also, I normally stay as far away from non-hardcore as possible. Less of a chance of knifing if it only takes one shot to kill.

I heard someone complaining about this saying they are noobs and its lame but if you get knifed in the face and couldn't shoot the shit out of them before they hit you then you deserve a knifing.

Except that marathon and lightweight, even separately, take advantage of the games lag. Ever get knifed by one and watch the killcam? You know, that killcam where you fired 15 bullets but it only showed you shooting 1 or 2? Maybe none at all?

It exploits the games lag and it's pathetic.

I can't imagine the amount of people that would quit if the CoD series went back to its roots and removed perks and killstreaks. It was a much better game then than it is now. Now all I see are a minimum 3 "runners", 1-2 wanna-be quickscopers and the rest using the Scar with a noobtube or silencer.

Hundreds of thousands of weapon and perk combinations and I continue to see the same 3-4 identical classes in mass quantities. Pathetic.

When was it ever different for any other game with customizable characters/classes. You wouldn't see a Rogue in a RPG focused with a bastard sword, or a rocket launcher focused class with cloaking in a sci fi. There's winning combos, and usually, those are the only winning combinations.

I highlighted the part that's wrong. Since when are those 4-5 classes the only way to win? The F2000 can kill the same as the Scar. The Vector can kill the same as the UMP45. The reason people don't use them is they're not the "be all end all" weapons of their class. Why be good at something when you can take the easy way out? Why compensate for recoil when you can shoot straight all the time?

People have dug into the games code to see the weapons coded damage and see what they should use, and that's sad.

People need to stop ruining games by spamming the overpowered stuff. They use it because they know it's a cheap, easy way to get things done.

Alot of people jsut say they use a shotgun to stop them, but the kicker is you shouldnt have to! It doesnt matter if I play hardcore and pick my shots, take loads of cover, and move at a very cautious pace, A game is broken when a player with all the skill in the world is killed without a bit of hastle. When my assault rifle is useless, and the supposed situational tactical weapons become primarys in all maps, whats the point. Noobtubers, RPG junkies, speed knifing, akimbo whores, ugh just talking about the game and how unfun its become makes me so pissed

If it's Karachi, Invasion or Favela I use a riot shield anyway so I just laugh as they come running round a corner and knife my demon tea-tray. Anyone that rages at the shield gets a one word answer.

Oh and I only play hardcore mode, I find normal mode to be irritatingly stupid.

I hate knifers. There I am with a 10 kill streak, trying to get my nuke, and I get repeatedly rushed by these idiots. One guy runs straight at me and gets killed over and over and over, and isn't smart enough to realize that he's going to keep dying if he keeps running straight at me over and over. Eventually he gets lucky, and kills me, ending my kill streak, and I don't get my nuke.

This is the ONLY reason (other than 1 man army noob tubers) I don't get a nuke every single game. Every game I ever play has a knifer in it, or someone who uses the "tactics" described above.

Edit: I sometimes knife too, but only when the enemy team is seriously pissing me off.

The Commando lunge is ridiculous, but if you don't kill them while they're running up to get close enough to do it, than it's your fault. They're running straight at you in a game where 2-3 bullets from most guns will drop someone. You deserve to get knifed if they come from right in front of you and you don't put them out of their misery.

Speed knifers are a mild annoyance. You know what's slightly more annoying than people that use speed knifing? People that quick scope with the Intervention. You know what's slightly more annoying than that? Grenade launcher attachment, 2x Thumpers and Scavenger. You know what's more annoying than all three of the above combined? The fifteen millionth complaint thread about how broken Modern Warfare 2 is. If you dislike it that much, fine, just don't play the bloody thing. If you like the game too much to stop playing it over these issues, than that's fine too. Just stop cluttering up the place with all these frigging threads about how much you dislike something in a game that you're going to keep playing anyways.

I don't play i because i see the game as broken so i don't care. Heck I don't even own the game and never have/will.

The only online multiplayers i play are bioshock 2 and borderlands and im quite happy with just those.

Seriously why does it matter if the game is broken?

I see more threads on here about how broken mw2 is than anti-twilight threads and that is saying something. (god i hope i didn't just jinx this site)

Sure I get killed occasionally by the knifers and yeah, it's a bit annoying to have my killstreak denied by a gimmick build. However, 95% of the time, they are free kills for my claymores.

Sorry, I wanted a true successor to Call of Duty 4, not some game that rides on imbalanced game mechanics solely because they seem "cool" to have. And as a consumer that purchased Modern Warfare 2, I think I should have some sort of say into my complete and utter disgust for what I thought would've been a great game. People complain for a reason ya know, not just for the sake of complaining. People complain about Modern Warfare 2 being broken because it truly is, and we want it to be changed so it is balanced and everyone has a good time. Sadly that is not the case with this game, and it saddens me that the FPS genre is going to go the same way as Modern Warfare 2, rather than innovating or anything else. Of course, I've stopped playing the game, but it's going to be even more sad to see Black Ops go the same way as Modern Warfare 2, and so on for the rest of the sequels.
